Do you mean the alert flag (a triangle with an exclamation inside it) or a different symbol? The Alert flag will appear with another message on the screen. If it is time to replace the battery, you'll also see "BATT" to the left of the flag and a low battery icon somewhere along the top of the LCD screen. If the thermostat is set to alert you to change the HVAC system filter regularly, you'll see "REPL" to the left of the alert flag.

This is from the T4 Pro thermostat manual on pages 6 and 7. See https://forwardthinking.honeywellhome.com/assets/tseries/resources/install/T4%20Pro%20User%20Guide%20-%2033-00188EFS.pdf . The T6 Pro uses the same alert behavior.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: permanent hold message on thermostat

press run program.... from there, set the schedule for maximum efficiency. permanent hold only shows up after the hold button has been pressed 2-3 times. If this does not fix the issue, there is a master reset button on the thermostat that will set all settings back to factory default.

I have Honeywell Pro TH4000 series. The fan wiil not come on what do i do

Depends on what type of heat you have...gas, oil , electric, heat pump? Make sure it is the right thermostat for your heat source. Some thermostats have a switch on the back for fuel or electric.

Honeywell T8011r does not have anything on display - does not appear circuit breaker is thrown - could it be wire disconnected at the plate or is there a fuse inside the unit?

Check to see if you have power at the furnace. You thermostat is powered by 24vac coming from the furnace. You should have power on the "R" terminal.

Rth230b honeywell display screen faint

Mike, The static electrical spark probably 'zapped' the Rth230b Honeywell Display unit. If you have already tried removing the power (batteries) from the unit and after waiting several minutes; reapply the power (batteries). If the problems remain unchanged, then it is time to replace the Display unit with a new one. The static electricity problem is problematic and the only way to prevent the same problem from recurring is to discharge yourself before touching the Honeywell Display. As you walk across the room which (probably has carpet), causes the static electricity to build up on your body and then discharges itself through the Display unit when you make contact with the Display unit. You might try coming to a complete stop and attempt to discharge the static charge on your body by touching the wall first with one hand for a second before touching the Display unit with the other hand. Naturally, cold weather with low humidity makes the static electricity worse. Hopes this helps you. Henry

EEE error message

I just talked to Honeywell support - they claim that an eee error means there has been a "unique error" and that the unit will need to be replaced - cannot be fixed. They were pretty good about giving a suggestion for a new thermostat and wiring directions if you want to DIY. Otherwise, call a pro.
