Can you open it with relative ease? If so the door is fine. The cat is just playing you. You have to train it to use it. For our dogs we would push them thru it so they learned it would open for them. In turn as we added other dogs and a cat they each learned from seeing the others go in and out the door.

My petsafe model 300-1051 shows both green lights are on and I replaced the collar battery but I don't hear or shock when I test it around the boundary
