SOURCE: Bad USB Port in Camera

I think you CAN--there's a lovely site with specific instructions,,,, Do It Yourself Camera Repair --- for fabulous step by step instructions WITH pictures & simple explanations that a novice can follow!!!

In short, all you need to do is find another USB port (even from a broken camera or other device) to replace yours. It seems that you'll need to solder it in -? - that's the step I'm trying to research right now--I'd like to just glue mine back in because I don't know how to solder--- but the tricky part is getting the camera apart, not touching the flash capacitator nor any of it's power-holding chips, and not damaging any of the other components.

Good luck!

Kodak scanner i3400 error e73

e73 is A USB command failure. Check to see if the scanner is connected to a USB 3 port. A USB 3 port can be identified by the port being Blue in color or have the letters "SS" (Super Speed) near the port. Kodak scanners behave strangely with USB 3. With the unit turned off, please connect the scanner to a USB 2.0 port. Additionally, download and install (as an administrator) the most current drivers from Kodak.com which alleviates 9 out of 10 issues.

Kodak Z1012 IS camera into usb port will not send pictures to my computer or my documents.

hi let me save you pocket. Instead of repairing your camera would be economical in this issue. you just buy usb memory card reader about $10. you put your sd card into the reader and connect to computer. That is easy. you click on my computer, you will see a new drive folder. rest of work is yours...However it will cost to you if you want to repair the problem. your camera might has usb port defective and local repair shop would charge around $65 to 125 depend on what they really want to charge. thanks and best regard!

Can i charge my kodak M341 using usb port using a pc.

Yes, if the computer puts enough juice into its USB port; not all computers do. If you have ports on both the front and back of your computer, try the back. Otherwise plug the USB cord into the wall charger supplied with the camera.

Kodak easyshare m853 digital camera

is the light that's coming on green or red?
if it's red, there's a charging error - contact kodak, they may provide a 5v ac adapter to resolve your charging issue

if it's green, was it blinking or solid? is the battery drained?
if the battery still has a little charge on it, please connect it to the computer then turn it on, check if there's power light
check if the screen is black - that means it's making a connection and the charging is the only issue - computer not detecting it, maybe resolved by kodak's software support

if the camera screen is active - that means there's definitely something wrong with the camera

arrange repairs with kodak, include the battery and usb cable
