1) Download the Outlook application on your desktop. Click on the sign in option and sign in to the account that you were using on your iPad.

2) Use the credentials that you used on your tablet to log in to the same account and get access to all the files in it.

3) If you have lost the credentials, utilize the account recovery option given by outlook.

SOURCE: Winmail to Outlook express 6

Outlook Express does not display any message attachments if TNEF-encoded file (winmail.dat) was received. If you are expecting some attachment, but do not see any, it still can be there.

To decode such a message perform the following steps:

  1. Save the whole e-mail message to an *.EML file via File, Save As, or Drag-and-drop.
  2. Open the *.EML file in a text editor such as Wordpad or Notepad.
  3. Locate the line Content-Type: application/ms-tnef;, and change the Content subtype to something else, such as Content-Type: application/zzz;
  4. Locate the line name="winmail.dat" and change to name="winmail.tnf". You may change the winmail part as well, if desired.
  5. Save the *.EML file from the text editor.
  6. Double click the *.EML file from the Windows File Explorer. This will open the message in a mail window and the TNEF attachment should now be available for saving.
  7. Drag the saved attachment into the Winmail Opener program. Decoded attachments will then be there and can be dragged or opened.

SOURCE: my outlook express email keeps sending old emails

Check your server timeouts. The message may have not finished downloading before your timeout stopped and so it has to restart.
Go to OE, Tools, Accounts, Properties, Advanced, Server Timeout and open it to the maximum...

I have an apple ipad tablet but unfortunately i dont know what sim i use???

If you are in the states you probably have to use AT&T micro-sim. First you have contact your wireless provider and look into a data sharing plan so you can share the data between your smartphone and iPad. As in share your monthly allowance. If you don't have a data plan at all then you have to look into purchasing a data plan from one of the providers that also offers mirco-sim, which is the kind that goes into the iPad.

In Canada it is Rogers, Fido, Telus, Kodoo, Bell.

Check your local wireless providers in other countries.

If you do have a smartphone AND a data plan BUT your provider wants to sell you on a new plan JUST for your iPAD don't do it. Consult your phone manual and google (if you already don't know how to) in order to get instructions on how to "tether", that is share your data plan going into your phone, with your iPAD so you can skip the fees altogether.

Hope this helped.

If you're using Windows XP you can try this:

My son cannot get to his new email address

I am sorry but without more information I cant help you or him.
I need to know what kind of email address he has. Is it one of the cheapo free ones from google (gmail) yahoo or hotmail? Or is it a good old smtp email address that you would access from outlook express or windows email program?
windows xp and older used outlook express as a default email program. Vista and newer have a windows mail program somewhat inferior to the old outlook express.

Gmail, yahoo, and hotmail are all browser based and as long as you know your signin and password you can access it from any computer.

Most desktop icons disappeared, Outlook Express can't open msgs.

Hello,

system infected by virus so you need to scan it using potent antivirus,
Yo can download free AVG antivirus at free avg website(you can search it in google) download and install. however the infection is severe then you need to remove your hard drive and then attach it to other computer and then scan that drive until all virus is deleted. if this not resolve the issue then you have to back up your files and then format and reinstall the operating system.

Our Outlook Express has vanished from our computer. Can you tell us why and what we can do to re-install it. Thank you, Norman Crites

Click start, Click RUN, type: msimn.exe, Press <ENTER> outlook express should open. If it does, then you can create a new shortcut on the desktop by Right Clicking the blank desktop, Click NEW, Click Shortcut, type the path: "C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\msimn.exe" then finish the wizard.

If msimn.exe give an error, the go to add/remove programs, Click Add/remove Windows Components, Check the checkbox next to Outlook Express, Click Next and finish the wizard (You may be prompted for your Windows XP CD)

If you are using Windows Vista, it doesn't include Outlook Express, Vista uses Windows Mail for the default mail handler.
