SOURCE: Cleaning La Pavoni Burr Coffee Grinder

You'll need to remove the hopper and grind out all the beans. Then, with the lock tab depressed (if it has one), unscrew the grind adjusting collar out of the body. Once it's out, there are three screws (sometimes only two) holding each burr. Remove screws and separate the burrs. Clean away!
Be very careful putting it back together so that you don't cross-thread the collar into the body. Clean threads can help this.
Good luck!

usualy reserable termic fuses are attached to body of motor, or inside the winding wires of motor.

  1. if it is attached to motor body than you should reset yourself, usualy they are black, round colour with red reset button on center. it is enough to push that red button and you reset it.
  2. if it is in winding wires it should reset when motor temperature drops, if that is not the case than you should consult winding expert for that, in your region.

Just bought a mazzer super jolly grinder, used it once, the grind was too coarse (#6), adjusted it to a finer grind ((3), and the next time i ran it it stopped grinding, the motor is on, the grinder turns,...

yes, you have to remove the beans inside because there is beans stuck between the burrs. after removing the beans, start doing the finest first before loading the hopper then after putting the beans test the grind as you go courser.

Is this the right one?

If not, I would go to http://www.lapavoni.com and find the service center that is closest to you and call them on the replacement part.

Sorry, but there just doesn't seem to be any La Pavoni replacement parts carried by any of the American suppliers.

Beans do not feed anymore. I have to shake the grinder to get them to feed.

- it is happening from time to time at all brands, you need to:
  1. remove upper burr holder
  2. unscrew lower burr holder bolt
  3. go with bolt in some metal workshop and ask for one peace of drill above bolt to be attached
  4. explain the way of rotation of burrs to metal workshop master so he wont mistake to do the drill in opposite way
  5. come with drill attached bolt at home , clean good the grinder, assemble the drill attached bolt.
  6. assemble upper holder and the plastic bean container (inspect does the drill touch the tongue for closing the beans at bean container)

How to change burrs

1 take the bell(bean container) carefully out. 2 disassemble the upper holder of burr 3 you will see now the burrs, clean good coffee remains than disassemble the burrs 4 after disassembling burrs clean good the lower and upper burr holder. 5 carefully switch on the grinder tan switch off(few seconds) during lower plate is rolling touch with marker the surface of burr holder very softly, if it is ok you will have complete circle / if it is deformed you will have incomplete circle( that you must compensate with letter tape ) after each correction you mark the burr with marker to see did you achieved perfect result. once you have lower burr in place you screw bolts in upper bur holder and assemble it back in his place.

Mazzer luigi super jolly

Easiest way to set the grind on the super jolly is to remove the beans, turn towards fine until you can barely move the middle stem in the grind chamber, then turn towards course about 12-14 notches on the grinding adjuster(not numbers but notches between numbers). If you still cannot get a fine grind and it is not a brand new grinder replace burrs.
