Would like to know what electrical amps this travel trailer uses at camp sites

Sure would be helpful if you'd say more about the trailer... like what MAKE of trailer it is, what YEAR and SIZE of trailer it is... but never mind that. SIMPLY LOOK AT THE PLUG. IF IT IS A BIG APPLIANCE SIZE PLUG WITH FOUR PRONGS, IT IS LIKELY A 50 AMP PLUG, AND IF IT IS A BIG APPLIANCE SIZE PLUG WITH THREE PRONGS, IT IS LIKELY A 30 AMP PLUG. If it is a regular size three prong plug (like you'd plug into the wall), it is a 15 Amp plug.

Interior electrical outlet plugin

Typically ' cigarette lighter ' plugs are fused with a 15 amp fuse, so in that case 15 amps is the capacity for that plug. If you have an owners manual check it for the fuse rating for the lighter plug, or check the fuse box . There may be a list of fuses and what they are for. Some folks install auxiliary plugs with higher amperage ratings, say a 20 amp circuit. This would entail using a 20 amp fuse, the correct size wire, and a plug that is rated for 20 amps.

Rheem 27 instant electric hot water heater causes customer's home lighting to flicker.

According to the literature I read, this heater requires a DEDICATED 240 volt, 60 amp service minimum. That means it should have its own circuit breaker with nothing else on that line. Depending on the overall electric service size for the building, the heater is causing an overload when it's on and resulting in a voltage drop that causes the flickering and possibly other issues.

You didn't say if this was a residential installation but if it is, most homes have a 100 amp 240 volt service (in the USA). The heater is using most of the home's power. If there are other loads on the service like an electric range or oven, the problem will be worse.

If the home is new, it may be equipped with a 240 volt, 200 amp service. If that's the case, the heater should be checkd with an ammeter to be sure it is not over-drawing for some reason like under sized wiring, bad connections or contaminated heating electrodes.

Crouse - Hines Murry Style MP or MD 200 Amp Main Breaker Difficult to Reset

A 200 amp circuit breaker has a large spring to assist in rapid opening and closing a load of this size to minimize damaging arcing every time is it operated under electrical load

The larger the circuit breaker is and the more poles (1, 2 or 3) that are being opened / closed; the more force it will require to operate - both by hand or when tripping. Compare the tension or force you need to apply to a similar sized circuit breaker at Home Depot, etc.

The troubling issue about this for me is the fact that the 200 amp service disconnect / main is tripping. This is an indication of an overloaded panel / circuit. I usually see individual circuits that trip in a panel - but often find the that main breaker has only 20% - 60% of its rating on it at any given time. If you're tripping a 200 amp service disconnect / main breaker repeatedly - something has got to give - and eventually the circuit breaker will fail. That may be where you are now with this breaker. You may be in need of a service upgrade (if it is the service disconnect) as clearly, you have out grown the 200 amp size one you currently have or need add a new sub-panel to ease the load that this 200 amp main is trying to supply now.

Either way, you should call a reputable electrical contractor to have your service / sub-panel evaluated very soon. Good luck!

What size (service) breaker is required for 72amps

Hello,
You always want to size for 20% greater than the load, so for this case I would use a 100 Amp Breaker.

Lincoln mig welder 180, 230 volt 20 Amp Input. BUT! Manual says use ''Super Lag 40 amp Double Breaker, Plug on Welder Is Nema 6-50 ( 50 Amp ) Wleder cord is 12awg. What wire should be used to wire it up in...

Inspector is correct! In wall or conduit wiring awg will always be greater than "open air" wiring. IE: the size of wire coming from your pole ... it's smaller than from your service riser into your meter. Code allows the cord to heat up... open air will cool it down.

Yamaha P-200 electric piano does not have any

Plug in your ear phones to see if you can hear the sound that way. If not you are experiencing some internal failure in your integrated amp output.

In that case you will need to get authorised service.

I need to install a power converter in my truck. Can any one help me with the basics? Please get back to me. Keith

What is it exactly that you want to accomplish? It looks like this unit is powered by the electrical system of your truck, but if it indeed can provide 2500 Watts of output power, its input demand from your truck electrical system will be in excess of 200 Amps!!! You'll need some pretty hefty wiring to support that type of demand, and I doubt if your alternator can put out that amount of current.
Are you sure you want/need to do this - and run it off your truck electrical system?

WHAT SIZE BREAKER IS NEEDED FOR 240 VOLT ELECTRIC BASEBOARD HEATE

If there is a 15 amp breaker on this circuit now. Then I would assume the the wire to this breaker is only capable of handling that size and NOTHING larger. There are to many variables. You need to know the maximum amp draw rating of the device. The wire size going back to the service entrance (fuse box). You will also need to know the total power draw of the service entrance to determine if the box can handle the total load. Are there any other branches off of this circuit? I suggest that you get advice from an electrician. If you overload the circuit, you may think everything is ok. But you can cause a major problem. I do not think that you want to take the chance of overloading a circuit. This can cause a fire and or death. Have this inspected by a professional. If you insist on doing it yourself.... contact your local building inspector for guidance.
