Check with Ebay seller s.a.w.inc for available thermocouples. If that doesn't solve the problem the valve unit will likely need replaced.

This unit can be vented through the roof but requires a specialized flue system-do not use an existing flue connection. Call a contractor - have them check and see if the unit can be modified to a vertical flue- it will require the existing piping to be replaced--Not a job for a do-it yourselfer

It sounds like the gas valve is dropping out. Make sure the system is venting the exhaust(no restrictions). Then make sure all your wiring connections in the unit are tight. In a millivolt system if all wiring connections aren't tight and clean your circuit will drop in millivolts and the gas valve will drop out. The gas valve requires a certain millivolt to stay open. If it is a few years old, it could be the thermocouple. These are usually available from Lowes. Take your model/serial # and if you can, take the old part too.

Look behind the ceraminc logs chained to the burner frame. They are metal plates with instructions. That is how mine is.
