I got some speakers out of a 2010 Nissan Altima and I want to to install them in a 03 Ford Taurus is single wIring them the how do I single wIring them

I'm not sure I understand your question. If you mean the Taurus speaker harnesses each only have 1 wire to the speakers, that is the (+) wire. Speakers really don't care which terminal the (+) wire goes to AS LONG AS BOTH SPEAKERS ARE CONNECTED THE SAME WAY. There is no harm in connecting one speaker one way and the other soeaker the other way, but that will result in the speaker cones moving in opposite directions, which will rob you of all of the bass response. This is called 'out of phase'. So if you know which terminal had the (+) wire on it in the Altima, connect the single wire from the Taurus harness to the speaker.
If this IS what you mean, then connect another wire to each speaker's ( - ) terminal and connect the other end of this new wire to the Taurus BODY, which is always ( - ).
If you mean something else, pls contact me for help.

Someone gave me a cerwin vega speaker, supwoofer, found fuse blown, this is a single speaker, lw-10, has electical cord, how do you hook up wiring on speakers?thank you

Pay really close attention to how the speaker is wired and make a written note, maybe a polaroid, even video, since it is a single speaker you hopefully will not have problems with the mess of wires.

Way too low!!
Your cap should be up in the 200mFd range.
CLICK HERE for a calculator - since it in unclear whether you are using a component set as in the selected item - or a single speaker.
put your impendence in of the woofer, and the crossover frequency you are wanting to achieve.

Bass speaker start up noise

Hello anne845,

It sounds like the installer wired the amp remote turn-on terminal to an "accessory" lead in your vehicle. Many stock radios do not have a dedicated amp turn-or lead and the alternative is to connect the amp to a switched power source (ignition or accessory). This means the amp turns on whenever you turn on the vehicle ignition, often resulting in a thumping from the subs. It is a perfectly satisfactory alternative, and will not damage either the amp or the sub. But it's irritating.

If the thumping is objectionable, have your installer wire a SPST (Single Pole, Single Throw) toggle switch inline with the turn-on wire. The switch should be mounted so it is accessible by the driver, and whenever you turn on the radio, turn on the toggle switch.

Hope this helps.

Have one wire for audio sub out, but two input ports to amp

This one Wire should be for the +. Try connecting the + to the Head Unit and - to a Common Ground. At the Worst, You will Blow the Amp Fuse if not Correct. The Lead from the Head Unit is Only an Off and On from the Ignition. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

I need the colour wire description for a 2000 dodge caravan Im removing the the factory stero and installing after market stero and need wring diagram , what each wire is for ,speakers ,power etc.

HI.
In the caravan are 2 types of Radio.
1. Normal sound system.
1 Premium sound system.
Note: If you don't want to cut the original wires,
You can buy a harness connector to install the aftermarket Radio. The connector are made by aplication, and are plug in.
The colour of the connector are the same colour with the Aftermarket Radio. Just you need to soldering or just put joint connectors.

Normal: colour of wires.

Pink = Battery voltage.
Red/withe = Ingnition Voltage.
Brown/red and Dark green. = Left front speaker.
Dark bku/red and Voilet = right front speaker.
Brown light blue and brown/yellow. = left rear speaker.
Dark blue/orange and dark blue white = right rear speaker.
Ground is a single wire behind the radio.

If you have a premium sound. You need to use the front speaker out to connect the speaker on the door and the speaker on the dash. To complete the 6 speaker.

OK... I hope this information work for you.

Thank you , For use fixya. Rate please.
