This cool x220 shows 14 devices even if not present, and is so cool as tells you it support 14 devices. and if you add a USB memory stick that boots it shows the name of said stick after the : colon mark.

SOURCE: Lenovo ThinkPad X61 got "thermal sensing error" when it boot up

OverheatingWhen the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermaloverload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is theproblem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make surethe vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed airto do this.

Check your adapter for lose connection. Try to wiggle the connection between your ac adapter and your computer. You can also check your computer's port for any sign of defects.

I hope this helps!

LENOVO THINKPAD X220 TABLET FAILS TO TURN ON NORMALLY. WHEN THE CHARGER IS PLUGED IN THE WIRELESS AND BLUETOOTH LIGHT FLASHES ON AND OFF.

That is a risky move to have that required to start the computer. There is a circuit in the battery module that tells the computer if the battery is healthy enough to boot the computer. When the battery is removed or goes bad, the computer wont boot. Do the right thing and get a new battery.

Advanced boot options

Lenovo Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) settings allow you to quickly customize interactions between your operating system and your hardware, especially your hard drive or drives, memory and power supply.
You must get into the Lenovo BIOS before your operating system loads.
Though most users don't typically see options for entering or using the BIOS, multiple changes can be made to customize and optimize your system, such as changing your boot device order and changing the display brightness to conserve power.

Turn off your Lenovo computer.
Press the power button to start your system.
For best results, wait 30 seconds to one minute before starting your system.
This gives you a longer window in which to enter the BIOS.

Press "F1" as soon as the Thinkpad logo appears.
Depending on your Thinkpad model, you may be prompted to press either the blue "Access IBM" or the blue "ThinkAdvantage" button instead of "F1 or F2."
If this is the case, a message will appear stating "To interrupt normal startup, press (one of the listed buttons above)."
Select the "Start setup utility" to open the BIOS setup menu.
Follow the instructions provided in the BIOS setup menu to select BIOS menu sections, settings and to change options.
Next, navigate through the Bios setup pages using keybard arrow keys in order to find failsafe or optimized defaults press ENTER to select your option press F10 save to cmos and restart

Cursor moves on its own when Lenovo Thinkpad is connected to DisplayLink port replicator

The port replicator needs to have the drivers installed in order for it to work properly. If this was not done, you will need to do it. Windows does not have the correct drivers for it.

I have laptop (lenovo E260) this laptop has problem in booting it does not make boot from CD also it has no USB boot so what can I do to fix this problem? It needs format because it does not work

Boot up the laptop and enter into your BIOS. You can do this by pressing F2 at startup. From there select the boot tab and rearrange the boot menu order placing the disc drive to be the first to boot from. Then save changes and exit. You can also select boot from external media (USB boot) and place it in the order you desire such as after CD but before hard drive. Then insert your recovery CD and upon boot it should prompt you to press any key to boot from CD.
