How can I get my Dish Network remote to work again on my Seiki LC32G82 tv? It was working fine until Hurricane Michael. Now the volume and mute buttons no longer work. I've tried reprogramming using the TV Pairing Wizard as well as manually entering pairing codes several times. I even tried a brand new Dish remote and can't get the volume and mute to work. Any ideas?

First before trying to repair the remote lets try to just reprogram it. The easiest way to do this is to do a search. 1st Turn the tv on, then on the remote press and hold the tv button until it flashes. Next press the tv power button. Next press the up arrow button slowly until the tv turns off. Then hit the # key. Now if you pressed the up arrow to many times and the tv doesn't respond to the remote just start the process over, except using the up arrow use the down. You may have to push the up arrow button many times before it finds the code. The batteries usually last quite a while since there are 4 of them. If this doesn't work call 1-800-333-dish they will either send out a tech or just mail you a new one. If you have the user guide for the 722 the instructions to do this are on page 82.

Codes didn't work. Power scan did though. I used to work for Dish Network in AZ. First training class when it opened in AZ. I call it now DOUCHE NETWORK. Corporate America SUX, and DOUCHE NETWORK follow that to the fullest extent of the LAW.

Hello, my name is Becki Barned, and I am with Dish Network customer service. To program the remote to a Vizio tv, there are a couple approaches that you may take. First is, follow this link: http://www.dishnetwork.com/SupportSection/power-scan-instructions which walks you through it. Or do these steps: 1. Hold down the TV mode button until all mode buttons at the top of the remote light up, then release. 2. Punch in the code 505. 3. Press the pound (#) button on the keypad. Use either of these, and that remote will work great! Just make sure after you get the volume working, that you press the SAT button on the remote! Hello, this is Nick Franta with DISH.

If you are trying to get the remote programmed to the receiver you can remove the smartcard from the receiver and that will prompt the system info screen. This will allow you to program the remote to the receiver.

If you need the process for programming the remote, here it is:

1. Go to System Info screen (in this case -- obtain by removing smartcard from receiver)
2. Hold down the SAT button until all mode lights light up.
3. Enter a number between 1 and 15 using the numeric keypad on the remote.
4. Press the pound (#) button
5. Once the SAT button blinks three times, press record.
