Have you tried reformatting your memory card itself?

SOURCE: Saving pictures

The camera has a very limited storage space on itself. It probably isnt saving the pictures on the card because the card is write protected (probably on accident)
just pull out the card and on it is a tiny little switch. just push that into the next position and it is no longer write protected. the write protection is there to prevent you from losing your photos, to put more photos on it you will have to deactive the protection with that switch, its usually white colored

SOURCE: My pictures are now replaced with a question mark.

sir the only problem that i can see is probably that your phone can not open large resolution images....try sending it to some other phone model or copying them onto a computer and then viewing them.I think you should be able to see them......please let me know if this doesn`t work.,,

My Olympus c-740 tells me there are no photos, although the memory is full. It says it is full in the camera and in the computer. I need the photos, no the memory. Thanks!

There is memory built into the camera and additional memory card! Depends how the camera is set to save the photos either to the smaller built in memory or the larger memory card!

Olympus problems

Brenda, Although I only have a little to go on, I'll give it a try.
(only brand, not model)
Olympus camera's do have an internal memory, but just for a limited amount of pictures. When your camera says Memory full, this internal memory is full. You can place a memory card, or free memory, by deleting pictures. But don't delete a picture before you are sure you saved the picture on the computer or some other media.
If you want a memory card, check what type of card goes into your camera. When you place a memory card in the camera it has to be formatted (check the manual) but NEVER format a memory card, when you have any pictures in the internal memory, because you could loose all the pictures in the internal memory too.

I have olympus camedia 4.0 mega pixel. old camera. need to know how to change the camera photo storage from 18 photos to at least 64 photos storage

Hi, jamesepatton, and welcome to FixYa.
I am going to assume that you are referring to the camera's internal storage, as opposed to the camera's removable storage card.
Obviously, to increase the storage on a removable card, one need only purchase another, higher capacity storage card.
To change the camera's internal storage capacity, one needs to reduce the resolution of the pictures one takes.
Example- your Olympus is capable of taking a 4.0 mega pixel sized picture. This size picture can generate a fairly large data file (after all, pictures- like Word documents- are only data files!) While this is what is normally programmed into the camera at the factory, you are not 'married' to this size. In the "Setting" menu of the camera, there will be an option to change the mega pixel (mp) setting. Try lowering it to the next lower setting (say, 3.0 mp) and shoot until the camera tells you it's full. You may have to try several different mp setting, but eventually you'll land on the right one. It's going to depend a lot on what is in your pictures as well, as different scenes and content can affect file size.
A quick note here: Lowering the mp setting will affect the quality (and/or resolution) of the photo. I have found that for a great majority of the photos that I personally take, a 2.0 mp setting is just fine. I am by no means shooting magazine covers or entering my pictures in contests, I shoot 'em, print 'em and save 'em. Just your basic home pictures.
If resolution/quality is important, I would highly recommend that you save ALL pictures to a removable memory card and leave the camera set on 4.0 mp.
Good luck, and let us know how you go!

Took pictures with Olympus Stylist 710, saved to a FujiFilm xD (512MB) memory card. Went to transfer pictures from memory card using Sabrent USB card reader, Mac computer did not recognize card. Now the...

It is possible that the memory card was damaged. This would be by coincidence. Just in case only the formatting is damaged you can try to format the memory card.

As far as reading the card is concerned, if the Mac has issues to read a PC format then it will not be able to read the card from your camera.

Move images saved to the internal memory to the optional xD-Picture Card

The images saved to the internal memory can be copied to the xD-Picture Card, but you cannot copy images from the xD-Picture Card to the internal memory.

Saved images to the internal memory or to the optional xD-Picture Card

The internal memory and the xD-Picture Card cannot be used at the same time. When the card is inserted the internal memory is disabled. When you want to use the internal memory, remove the xD Picture Card. The LCD display will indicate that images are saved to internal memory by displaying [IN] in the lower right corner of the screen. When using the xD-Picture Card the camera’s LCD will display [xD] in the lower right corner of the screen. These indicators are displayed just above the number of available frames.
