SOURCE: connecting JABRA BLUETOOTH to MY SIDEKICK 3

Use your Bluetooth wireless headset or car speaker to make and receive calls: 1. Follow the manufacture's instructions for your Bluetooth device to make sure it is turned on and "visible". 2. From your Sidekick, go to the Phone application. 3. Make sure your Bluetooth device has paired with your Sidekick device by pressing MENU and selecting Settings > Pairing. (If you try to do this and you don't have Bluetooth services turned on, you will be prompted to turn it on.) 4. On the Pairing dialog that appears, make sure your Bluetooth device is listed and has a key icon next to it. The key means that it's paired with your device. If it doesn't have a key, roll the TRACKBALL to select the device name, then press to pair. Once paired, press DONE . 5. Back at the Phone screen, press MENU and select Transfer Sound to > Bluetooth Device Name. 6. Dial your number and send the call. All sounds will be routed through your Bluetooth device.

SOURCE: jabra bluetooth

Look up on Jabra for your model number. google jabra with model number then a comma with manual after it. The manual was the exact match and directions were very clear.

Does anyone know a way to fix Nextar mp3 players only playing in one ear piece?

Try spraying electrical contact cleaner into the headphone socket. There are 4 spring loaded contacts in there.

For your next one, buy a Bluetooth MP3 or a cellphone with Bluetooth. No mechanical connections.

Jabra bT260s Pairing problem...

You may need to change your output sound device. The method may vary depending on your software and hardware, but go to Start -> Control Panel -> Sound (I think. Doing this from memory, so might be slightly off). There should be a Devices or Output tab. Change that to your bluetooth headset. You will probably need to restart WMP before you hear music, too.

BLUETOOTH

Hello dmydeuce,

The setup you describe is possible, however you will want to make sure that your MP3 player, phone and headphones support both A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) and also AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) protocols. Additionally in order to answer incoming phonecalls the headphones will need to have a built-in microphone. Check the documentation on your products.

Best Regards,

Bluetooth/ Insignia mp3

Hi MzM1990,

You can find lots of useful product information about your Insignia MP3 player on the manufacturer's website located at: http://www.insignia-products.com.

(The actual product page for your MP3 player is located at http://www.insignia-products.com/pc-289-22-insignia-pilot-8gb-video-mp3-player-with-bluetooth-technology.aspx)

I'd recommend downloading the User's Manual. The instructions on how to connect the MP3 player to Bluetooth compatible headphones are located on pages 27-29 of the manual.

NOTE that the wireless headphones MUST be A2DP (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) compatible to use this feature. If your headphones are also AVRCP (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile) compatible then you will also be able to adjust some settings of the MP3 player (such as play/pause, skip forward/backward and control the volume) wirelessly. Check the documentation on your headphones to ensure compatability.

Best regards.
Ken
