I have a proscan led tv /DVD combo24" model pledv2488A-E i had a static electricity shock while holding the remote now the remote or tv will not fuction

I have a Proscan model # PS36800HRJX1 and having a hard time putting it on DVD mode to be able to play a movie. I just bought a remote for it and can't figure out what's the problem. How do I go about it?

if using RCA connector cables, connect the left and right audio cables to D and D1, then connect the Video cable to the video connector right above the S Video port.

Sorry but no. The good news is that you can add extra sound to make up for it with a surround sound system- a basic/inexpensive system is all you need- u get $100 all day every day!

I have a Proscan pledv2488a. There is a disk in the DVD player, but I cannot find a way to eject it. There appears to be no eject button on the remote. What can be done?
Do you have the original remote or a universal remote? On the original remote, the Eject button is also the Favorites (FAV) button. It's just below the Volume - section of the Volume toggle on the left side of the remote. The button has an upwards arrow above a line on it. You probably need to set the source to DVD for the Eject button to work properly. (If the source is TV, the button will add or delete the current channel to the Favorites list.) You can cycle through the input source options by pressing the Source button on the TV or the remote. On the TV, the Source button is between the Power and Menu buttons. On the remote, the Source button is on the right hand side above the Up arrow key.

The manual for the PLEDV2488A is available from Proscan at the manufacturer's site: http://www.proscanvideo.com/product/PLEDV2488A . Click on the Downloads tab. The direct link is http://legacy.curtisint.com/html/CustService/Manuals/PRO_PLEDV2488A_EN.pdf . Page 8 describes the remote buttons.

Need code for ProScan universal remote
Proscan HDTV Codes = 1000
Proscan TV Codes = 1000, 1008, 1068, 1094, 1108
Proscan DVD Codes = 2118, 2144, 2205, 2319
Proscan VCR Codes = 3000
ON MOST REMOTES:
1. Turn on the TV.
2. Press and hold the TV and SEL buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The button will light.
3. With the button lit, point the remote at the TV and enter the TV's 3, 4, or 5 digit code.
4. Verify by pressing the VOLUME + button. This should turn the TV VOLUME up.
5. Press the TV button to store the 3, 4, or 5 digit code. The button will blink twice to confirm the code is stored.
Your ProscanTV can be controlled with a universal remote and work with Comcast, Dish Network, Direct TV, RCA, etc...
