I cannot locate the bushes on the motor of my hotpoint WMUD942 washing machine. The tutorial videos have easy access to the bushes, my motor does not appear to be as straight forward

Remove the bottom casing covering the front of the machine just above the floor. Unscrew the circular cap SLOWLY- beware of vast amounts of water escaping though!
I had to use a low height roasting pan to catch water, and just unscrew the cap enough so as to control the flow of water, and enable to empty water away until its all gone. Incidentally, an old hairgrip was found to be the cause of my problem.
Confusingly, "clean pump" meant clean filter!
Hi. The motor is non adjustable on this washer. Tilt washer forward, get someone to hold it steady, and put belt round motor pulley first, then slip belt on drum pulley, and slowly turn drum by hand, feeding the belt on as you turn drum, be careful not to trap fingers, as it is very tight, this is normal, as the belt is a stretch type, this is the reason the motor is non adjustable. Please rate my advice. Thanks.

the motor is shorting, it could be faulty brushes if you are lucky. Look at the wires in the plastic connector to make sure they are not sooty from burning. I had to rewire one on my machine.

Remove lower rear cover of washer.
Locate and remove large black hose fastened to drum.
Remove and clean filter inside hose.
Remove hose onto pump, and check for blockage or obstruction here as well.
This should solve the problem.
