SOURCE: heat pump works in emergency heat, but not in auxiliary heat

I set the thermostat for 70 degrees. It comes on always in auxillary heat and does not shut off when it reaches 70 degrees. It is a heat pump, I am assuming, it might be the thermostat? But when the air conditioner is on, it turns off when it reaches it's temperature.

Honeywell thermostat blows cold air on heat

Thermostats don't actually blow anything, the heating system might though. Check the breakers for your heat system, then call a heating specialist. They're really not that expensive.

Dual heat system, honeywell thermostat, auxiliary heat won't turn on

IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE EITHER YOUR SYSTEMS LOW VOLTAGE WIRING IS INCORRECT, MOST LIKELY @ THE FURNACE. IT COULD ALSO SIMPLY BE THAT WHEN THE TECHNICIAN THAT INSTALLED THE T-STAT AT START-UP DID NOT GO THROUGH THE INSTALLER SET-UP & CHOOSE THE CORRECT SETTINGS FOR A DUEL FUEL SYSTEM. TRY THIS " SET THE THERMOSTAT TO EMERGENCY HEAT, WAIT A MINUTE OR TWO & SEE IF THAT TURNED GAS FURNACE ON. IF SO THEN IT'S A SIMPLE FIX IN THE WIRING OR PROGRAMMING & NOT SOMETHING MAJOR! GOOD LUCK!

What's your problem? I have a Airtron furnace/air cond unit and last night I smelled a odor that of something electrical burning. I also noticed that the heating unit stayed on and continued to blow...

I'm willing to bet a relay burned up. You likely have your tstat set to auto changeover, meaning it automatically goes from heat to cool to maintain desired set points??

I have a Honeywell programmable thermostat with a York high efficiency furnace. To turn the heat on, the thermostat "clicks" and cycles the furnace through startup (warm the fire starter, turn on gas,...

Well, it is a computer, and they all glitch, now & then, you say it clears with a power off, and thus resets it, It maybe a thermostat, flaking out, they do that, but the 6'o'clock, thing being the "Or" that sets it apart, I wonder if it isn't just a faulty control unit, as two together is too many, for a single cause, now, it sort of points there, but also, may sound silly but first, of there is any, Check your backup battery..
