The ringing sound ... I don't know what has happened but its on silent and I can't get it off

Turn your phone off, then on again. If that doesn't fix it:

  • Check the mute/sound button on the side. It's on the left on an iPhone, and usually all androids as well. If it is on mute, there will be a red or orange stripe visible under the button. Just for grins, try turning it on and off.
  • Depending on whether or not you've accidently hit the volume controls (those buttons on either side of your phone) chances are you've set it to mute simply by the phone coming into contact with the controls while in your pocket or purse. It happens.
  • Go into your settings and select "Sounds" (on an iPhone). Make sure the ringer and alerts button is on and your sound volume is up.
  • Go to "Do Not Disturb" (under settings still) and see if your sound is turned off.
  • As a last option, select "reset" under "General."
  • Also check your settings to see if you need to update your phone. If so, plug it into a power source and select "Update" from your settings menu. You'll know if it needs an update because there will be a number on the settings menu icon.
Good luck! If you have an Android the process is similar. It's always a good idea to Google your phone model and something like "Restore sound settings" to get more specific info!

Set-up my new Nikon Coolpix P520. Now want to change sound and review settings and can't access set-up choices

Look in what part of the menu you are. If you are in Automatic scene or effects, you only can change few things. Only when you select P,S,A,M or U, you can set lots of things in he menu. Please look in the manual, because on your camera are so many things you can set, if in the correct menu or in the right settings menu.

Having problems with changing ring tone do i have to download ring tones i just carnt find anything

Almost every phone should be able to change ringtone without downloading them from the internet.
I haven't come across a phone that specifically has to.
Changing your ringtone varys between phones, as they have different operating systems.
However, usually you can change it from the "Settings" menu.
In the settings menu, the ringtone options can usually be found with a name that is related to sound, for example "Audio settings", "Sound and Display". It might also be under "notifications" or something relative.

It is really quite hard to qive step-by-step instructions without knowing what phone you have.

How can I stop the bleep tone when I am creatng a text message? Do I have to put the phone on silent mode every time?

You can adjust the volume and change the sound it makes. To adjust the volume, press the menu button, then go to "Settings & Tools". Under Settings & Tools, select "Sounds Settings" (it should be #4). Then select "Keypad Volume" (should also be #4). If you want the noise completely gone, scroll down until it says "off" and press ok. If you were talking about something else, let me know. Hope this helps!
