SOURCE: How do you adjust the belt for a Weslo Cadence 815 treadmill?

Hi, I don't have a manual on your particular treadmill but most all treadmills use the same type of belt tension and tracking, which is an allen screw adjustment on the rear tension bar. One on either side. You should have been provided an allen wrench with your treadmill, if not then use one of your own the proper size. Make the adjustment with the unit running at its slowest speed. Clockwise tightens the tension and will draw the belt. Good Luck, this should Fixya!

SOURCE: I have a Schwinn 815

A friend of mine gave me thier treadmill for this exact reason. I took it appart and the problem was a blown fuse on the board in the motor compartment. It is right below where the main power goes into the board and if it is blown it should appear white. I replaced it and the treadmill works good as new!

Where to get user manual for schwinn 230

Do you mean the Schwinn 230 recumbent bike? Then Schwinn has the manual for two models (released in different years) on their product manuals page: http://www.schwinnfitness.com/schwinn_fitness_us/customerservice/manualsen.jsp . Expand the section on Recumbent Bikes and scroll through the list. The direct link to the owner's manual for the 2007 version is http://download.nautilus.com/supportdocs/OM/Schwinn/SCH_130-230_OM_RevB_web.pdf . The 2013 version is here: http://download.nautilus.com/supportdocs/AM_OM/Schwinn/SCH.230-Journey2.0.AM.OM.WARR.EN.pdf . The newer model has a USB port for a flash drive, among other differences.

I hope this helps.

I have a Schwinn 815 treadmill. Today, during the middle of a workout, it stopped dead. The console display has no lights on. The only light that is on is the power switch light. Other than that,...

it sounds like the problem could be the wire from the console down to the motor control board has come undone or partly undone. you need to take the console off and see if the wires are conected properly. if this isnt the problem then the console might have fried somehow, possible from the same reason, the wires came disconnected and shorted out on something.

How do you adjust the slack on the belt? This is for a 815 model.

If the walking belt slips when walked on, first remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Using the hex key, turn both idler roller bolts clockwise, 1/4 of a turn. When the walking belt is correctly tightened, you should be able to lift each edge of the walking belt 2 to 3 in. off the walking platform. Be careful to keep the walking belt centered. Then, plug in the power cord, insert the key, and carefully walk on the treadmill for a few minutes. Repeat until the walking belt is properly tightened.
