How can I make artec flatbed scanner 48U compatible with windows 7 32-bit?

Download & save the XP driver from driverguide website (link) :http://www.scanner-drivers.com/drivers/123/123132.htm or use this direct link for the exe file : http://members.driverguide.com/director/dispatch_getfile.php?did=123132&time=1201177794&auth=75a352b3fab77696d93d8bfb8976a4f3

Now using winrar or similar utility, extract all the files from the exe to a folder on your hard drive, connect the scanner to computer and when Vista asks for drivers, point to this folder. If you already have attached the scanner, you may go to device manager and update the driver.

I've used this scanner on both Windows Vista and 7 by running the driver installation from the original disk in Windows XP compatibility mode and then plugging the scanner in to the computer.
