The number v657-7000 is relative to the case. This is probably why you can’t locate it on line. Check http://www.oldpulsars.com and enter the number on the back of the watch.

SOURCE: Broken Watch band

you probably just need a pin to secure the links back together. an authorized Movado retailer will have the tension or screw pins to put the band back together. They can also order additional links if needed. you can find a local retailer on www.movado.com

SOURCE: I need extra links for my fossil BQ-8792 watch.

Go the Fossil website - http://www.fossil.com. There is a link at the bottom of the page, Customer Care. Clock on that link. On the left there will be a menu item under Product Info that says "ordering links and bands". There is a paragraph titled "Order Links". There is an 800 number to call and they will send you two links just for shipping or if you need more than 2 links, it's $3 per link.

SOURCE: Looking for Rado Diastar Anatom watch bracelet

The only source for separate original links is a repair shop that has a defective watch kept for parts. You could order an entire bracelet but that would be very expensive.
The cheapest solution is to get a copy like
http://www.flyingshops.com/rado-anatom-mens-watch-r10365151-4796-p.html
and use its bracelet.

Pulsar Quartz serial # 390385

Serial number are no use at all. It is just a record for that individual watch. It was the 385th watch made in March 1990.

Look on eBay for prices realized on sold items.

What year is a pulsar V031-5080

https://picclick.co.uk/Pulsar-Ana-Digi-Gold-Tone-Watch-V031-5080-302636375150.html

Watch for sale dated November 1985.

Mens Pulsar Ana Digi Watch v031-5080 - Gold Tone - Spares or Repairs

Super condition gold tone ana digi watch
Build date Nov 1985 (see code on photos)

Very light wear, nice clean crystal, case and original Pulsar strap - see photos

Worked perfectly up until a few months ago - then 'had a moment', started flashing, then died and refused to fire up again - this watch is currently not working

Battery swapped out for a brand new Renata (incl) but still no joy

Watch has not been wet nor has there been any battery leakage - so unsure of the fix - or the reason for its inop

As such being sold as spares or repairs - if you have a spare movement to drop in then you would have very desirable, rare Pular (by Seiko) ana digi watch - a really nice clean piece from the '80's

Too good just to leave in a drawer so one for the collector, restorer/repairer or those looking for a very clean cased donor watch to drop in a working mech

Thanks and happy bidding

I have a Bulova Watch that was given to a Clark Candy employee with a Serial Number of 523791. Looking for what year it was made and is it worth anything

The value of your watch depends greatly on the model / style, age, and case composition. It goes without saying, but watches (of any mechanical quality) that have real gold cases right now are worth quite a bit more than watches with gold plated, gold filled, gold-tone, or stainless steel cases. Presentation watches like those given to employees upon retirement were often gold or gold-filled--but there's a world of difference in value between those two types of watches.

In terms of age, it's much easier to date vintage Bulova watches by their "year code" than by their serial number. If you look carefully, usually above or below the serial number, you'll see a little alphanumeric code, like L5, N3, or P6. These can be translated as follows:

Lx = 195x Mx = 196x Nx = 197x Px = 198x Tx = 199x

Pre-1947 Bulova watches used little symbols to show the year of manufacture. A picture of those codes can be found here, as well as elsewhere on the Internet:

I looked at a daytona two-tone the other day. The edges of the gold parts of the band had turned like a black color. Is this normal?

Most likely a fake watch. Rolex makes white gold, yellow gold, platinum and stainless steel watches. Almost always solid metal parts and not plated. It sounds as the plating on your watch is worn through and the underlying metal is oxidizing.

Can set date; cannot set time?

If the crown turns in the setting position for the day/date and nothing happens then there is damage to the setting mechanism and this will need to be repaired by a qualified watchmaker.

Hope this helps,

I have a Seiko stainless steel ladies watch, 3 years old, only one 'winder' no fancy buttons, analogue style. It has suddenly started beeping every hour - how do I turn it off?

mcdevito75 here, The beeping must be a signal that the battery is weak, have the battery changed. Look for a small watch repair shop in your area for the battery change.
