Hi I received a slow cooker last year for a Christmas gift. I just started using it last month and now all the inside is starting to peel. Is there a way I can get a new one or something?

SOURCE: handle on crockpot lid broke off.can I replace it at store where purchased?

I have had the same problem. Spoke to rival customer service and they no longer sell replacement lids for model number SCE502. I've read to take the screw from the knob to a hardware store and then find a knob which will fit it.
Someone else suggested that if the knob is mostly intact, ask hardware store for araldite glue

SOURCE: SLOW COOKER

I just downloaded the manual for the rival crock pot. The site is www.crockpot.com and you click on the customer service tab for a manual. Lots of different ones there. You just need to know your model number.
Hope this helps you all.

SOURCE: teflon peeling off inside pan and going into the food

Teflon is very dangerous. I discovered this when I got birds. Teflon is so deadly that if it is even slightly heated (by having a pan in the drawer below the stove) by having the oven on, it kills birds - immediately. It becomes airbourne and is that toxic. I know of so many examples of bird's dying from it. Can you imagine how tramatic it would be to be cooking and your bird drops dead. I had to get rid of all my pans because of them. And I'm glad for it. So it would be, not deadly, but not great to ingest for humans. Teflon is also in some heaters so its good to check that too.

SOURCE: I have a Durabrand 5 qt. slow cooker and the cover

Since it's still under warranty, take it back to Wal-mart and get your money back. Make sure you take your warranty book with you.

I received a Hamilton Beach Deluxe Set & Forget #33862 6 Qt. crock pot for Christmas that I cannot find the user manual for and I'm having trouble finding it online.

The Hamilton Beach website contains a Customer Support section, under Use and Care. Select Slow Cooker as type of product and select 33862 as model. The pdf of the guide is located at http://useandcares.hamiltonbeach.com/files/840188100.pdf

Enjoy..

Lid not a tight or smooth seal

Hi, I have a Durabrand Slow Cooker and before that I had a Rosemary Conley one, both had loose fitting lids but this did not affect the cooking etc. I think that is the way they are meant to be. Use a non slip mat too as this may help, mine never vibrated even on high. Maybe you should get someone to look at it for you.

Durabrand 5 qt slow cooker model MD-TC5002

My durabrand crockpot was given as a gift this past Christmas 2007. The inside part cracked severely when I was trying to make a pot roast. Where do I contact these people to get a replacement. I have not receipt as it was a gift. Walmart does not have any in stock to replace the inner part. I tried several stores. I cannot find the company online to contact them for a replacement.

6 qt. slow cooker.

FYI, the recall is not for the 169143 model:

"The recalled slow cookers include the 4.5-Quart Oval and 6-Quart Double Dish models sold under the General Electric (GE) brand name. The model name is printed on the front of the units. The 4.5-quart unit has model number 106661 and the 6-quart unit has model number 106851. Both models have series codes A through D, which are printed on the bottom along with the model number. The base of the slow cookers is white with an olive or honeysuckle graphic."

I too, have the 169143 model. In fact, I just received it for Christmas. I loaned it out and the glass lid broke. I just got off the phone with the division of GE that handles the Walmart products (these slow cookers were made specifically for Walmart), and unfortunately, we are out of luck. You cannot get replacement parts (including lids) for the slow cookers made exclusively for Walmart. The only option is to buy a whole new slow cooker. Grrrr! So much for a 3-month old slow cooker that is now useless. If it was any other shape than rectangle I would just retrofit with a different brand lid, but those rectangular ones are near impossible to find.
