How do I lower the barometric reading on my lacrosse ws9049u it model weather station.?

That model number looks wrong I presume it is a weather station? All questions need full 'make model (what it is) please.

Read your manual or when you get to the barometric setting get the nearest accurate reading for your location the press the up or down button on some units its a plus or negative button until you reach that reading

Based on a different, but similar, LaCrosse model (the WS-8611), it would appear to be an OverFlow indication, meaning that it's out of range. Here's a quote from that unit's manual:

SPECIFICATIONS:
Temperature measuring range:
Indoor : 14.2F to +139.8F with 0.2F resolution
(-9.9C to +59.9C with 0.1C resolution)
("OF.L" displayed if outside this range)
Outdoor : -39.8F to +139.8F with 0.2F resolution
(-39.9C to +59.9C with 0.1C resolution
("OF.L" displayed if outside this range)

It is likely that their convention remains the same across models, but I don't work for them, so I can't guarantee it.

I've had the same problem since I bought this unit 2+ years ago; when the outside temperature moves into the freezing zone, the sensor stops transmitting. I contacted Lacrosse-- all they could suggest was change the batteries. My solution: throw it in the trash!
