Seiko m705 or m796 watch question. I have by accident turned the watch off. How do i turn this watch back on?

Hi, I have a Seiko M705 (similar to M796). It has been working and was working last night. I used the alarm function and was pressing some buttons and i think by accident i turned off the watch. I am trying to turn it back on. I think i need to press the buttons in some type of order, or some number of times, or something like that. Does anyone know how i can get this watch working again?

SOURCE: Seiko M705 - 5A10 series divers watch. Time is Frozen

Have the batteries checked and an "AC" done to it. These watches generally have several batteries and the die off can be slow and only fail partially. The "AC" or all clear function will reset the circuit board and bring all your functions back.
As with any dive watch, be sure that you take it to a watch maker/technician that can reseal and pressure test the watch to insure it is safe for diving.

Looking for a replacement watch band for SEIKO SPORTURA HONDA F1 RUBBER BAND/STRAP SNA749P1 Where can I get one and what is the best price for customer in UK?

I've been looking for a replacement for the Seiko SNAE93p1 and have seen the replacement for this in several places. I only remember because it has a red and black band similar to the one on the watch I'm wanting, and I figure that I should get a replacement band when I buy this new watch, as the synthetic bands on Seiko watches tend to break after about 3 years or so.
Watchbands.com has it for $65 I believe. watchbands com

I cannot get my Seiko SNA304 chronograph second hand to reset after battery change. Keeps resetting to the 17 minute position, I have tried to use the manual instructions but with no success, Any help...

Hello,

Seiko watches are a popular accessory for both men and women. The history of Seiko watches goes back to 1881 long time ago, when the company that was to become Seiko began. From the beginning, the method to set a Seiko watch has been designed to be a simple process.

The following are the steps to set a Seiko watch for the time, day and date function, and for setting the chronograph on an analog watch.

Set the Time:

  • THE CROWN
Pull the button on the side of the watch carefully, the crown, out to its most extended position. You will need to unlock the crown if your watch has a locking crown. To unlock, turn the crown counter clockwise. While the crown is pulled out in the setting position, the watch will cease functioning.
  • 12 O'CLOCK POSITION
Turn the crown clockwise to move the hands of the watch past the 12 o'clock position on the dial. The day and date will change to indicate AM setting but will not change for PM setting. It is recommended that you set a Seiko watch in the morning for instant day and date setting; however, this can be done manually.
  • FINISH
To finish setting the time, simply push the crown until it is flush with the side of the watch.

Good luck and thanks for using fixya.

I cant adjust the day on my watch

Hi, That watch is a 7T62 Caliber. Go to page 5 in the manual, set the time first, then go to page 9 for setting the date. Just like most Seiko Quartz models, pull the crown out to the first click, turn clockwise until day is correct, then push crown back in. If you don't have the manual, Try this link:
http://www.seikowatches.com/support/ib/index.html

Take the four-digit module number from the back of the watch, enter it, and download a PDF of your watch setting-instructions/manual. Of course, if your watch is defective, then it will need service from an Authorized Seiko Dealer, or the Factory.
I hope this helps you. Thanks, Bill

How to set a month on seiko ska401

mcdevito75 here, The month you mean the date (number of the day in the month) your Seiko should show the day / date Here"s how.--- To change the day (Monday, Tues. etc) simply pull out the stem and turn the hands around until you reach the day, now push the stem in all the way, and gently slip your fingernail under the stem and gently lift the stem to it"s first notch or position, Seiko watches have a 2 position stem to make changeing the date, (number) easy so you don"t have to keep turning the hands around and around, with the stem out to it"s first notch or position simply turn the stem either toward you or away to change the date, (number) when done push the stem back in and your done.

Need owners manual for Seiko Quartz Chronograph Sports 150

I feel sure that Seiko will have a copy of the instructions in their archive, so if you contact them they should be able to send you a copy.

(Either that or advise you which watch has similar instructions).
