Owner's manual? Is this a new pump? Is there power to the pump? Be careful water and electricity don't mix. It's likely the switches that are separated by low voltage relay controls are not connected properly or the low voltage power supply is not working to turn the pump on.

SOURCE: Bucket fills up instead of water flowing out hose

There must be a blockage in the hose causing the water to back up and flow into the bucket. Try pushing a flexble peice of wire through the hose to unblock it.

if the pump is working correctly, it can either be, need more water to prime it, or something in the well, such as low water, plugged filter, etc....sometimes when you have a system that is intermittently used, it can take 20 or 30 minutes of continuous priming to get it to pull, enough water to maintain the prime.

SOURCE: Am unable to prime water pump

Water is not being drawn from reservoir into boiler. The valve at the base of the boiler seems to function properly. After repeated attempts, I am unable to prime pump and fill boiler with water.

SOURCE: Balboa vs500/501/502 gs500/501/502 I just refilled

A lot of times you can get an air lock as the spa fills. All you need to do to fix this is open the drain valve for a few seconds till it runs just water and no air. Or start the pump wile the drain is open. This should fix your problem. Good luck.

How do I prime the pump

this code generally indicates that there insufficient water to heater. either there is an air lock somewhere in heating circuit (try loosing union a bit to bleed any air out) or the circ pump is inoperative. Check to see if operating. If water not flowing through then try to force garden hose stream from outlet in spa towards circ. pump.

I have a Balboa VS500Z . The circuit board burned up where the heater buses are located . I replaced the board and the heater . Know when I start the Spa it primes at low speed for about a minute . Then...

Hi,

DR code - Inadequate water detected in heater.
HL code - Hi Limit, Spa over heat. In your case the Hi Limit is preventing the element from burning out.

This means there is no water or not enough water flowing through the heater.
Common causes:
Hi Limit sensor failure.
Blocked suction, skimmer.
Are the gate valves all the way open/up?
Pump is not functioning correctly, impeller/wet end failure.
These are the most common, but there are also other causes.

I hope that helps

We have a brand new Oasis Mohave spa and we wanted to run through a full cycle so we ran the tub for a week, no problems. then we drained and refilled the tub. Now we get dr or dy as error codes on the...

The dr error code is for "dry". Meaning that the control system is not sensing that water is flowing through the heating element.

With a new spa, and you just having drained it , it is probably an air locked pump.
What this means is that you have a small constant circulation pump with not much power, that got ait trapped in it when you drained. When you went to start back up, this "air lock" prevented the pump from fully priming.
Power down the spa at the breaker. Remove the filter element.Stick a garden hose with lots of pressure into the skimmer hole and open the hose valve to let water inject into the skimmer.
Restore power to the spa and check operation.
If after attempting this a few times you still get the code, there is an issue with your flowswitch, or with your circulation pump.
With a brand new spa, id like to hope that you just have an air lock.

Good luck

Flahes from FL to the temperature (13) after refiling. Temperature level will also not increase.

FL is usually a flow sensor/switch fault. If you have just filled the tub, the pump may not be properly primed. The best thing is to fill the tub through the skimmer when you first start filling it, that ensures the pump is filled with water and is not air locked. You may have to force water into the skimmer to push the air out of the line or loosen a union on the discharge side of the pump to get it primed. FL will not let heater run because it thinks that there is no flow.

After I drained and cleaned my "Jacuzzi 220" I filled it and got a FL2 code and now only half my jets work. Is it as simple to fix as disconnecting the pressure switch and reattaching? Thanks, Richard

You probably need to run water into the skimmer to force air out of the suction line. sounds like one of the pumps is not priming due to air lock. When you drain the spa, get into the habit of running water into the skimmer when you start refilling it.
You can get it to prime by loosening the discharge side pump union until the air is out, then re-tighten. The FL2 code is a "flow" error for the circ pump.

Water not flowing out of pump

Have you primed the pump by bringing water down to the pump? It will not work if the supply line is not filled with water from the pool.

Wont pump water

1. Suction strainer with checkvalve must be always
under water.
2. Check the suction checkvalve if holds water. Water
must remain steady when primed.
3. Open the priming port, and fill it full with water.
4. Close the flow control valve.
5. Switch the power on and start the pump.
6. Then, slowly open the flow control valve, to the
level such that it will not break suction, and
stabilized the water flow..

No jet flow hot springs highlife 1990

you might have an air lock, when you first start filling the spa, start the water running in the skimmer first. that should force air out of the pump and should pick up prime right away. if not, you may have a valve problem.
