Just had a new Arris modem installed. The battery light started flashing this morning. Does this signal a problem?

We have just gotten a Google Wifi. How do I disconnect my Arris network?

- Your Arris cable modem/router should be setup in bridge mode from the Arris admin screen.
- Your Arris cable modem should have wifi turned off otherwise you'll have 4 wifi networks in your home.
- Your google wifi plugs into (via cable) the back of your Arris using one of the 4 LAN jacks. The google uses the incoming signal from the Arris to create your wifi signal.
- Install the google wifi app on your phone.
- Place your google devices around your home.
- Connect to your first google device and get it connected to your Arris, setup the wifi (SSID) name and password.
- Then connect your devices to the new network name.

Sb4200 modem standby problem

This isn't much help, but be aware that this is an old modem, so no surprise that Arris cannot help with it. The process you describe sounds like what I just went through with a BRAND NEW Arris DG860A modem. The modem is going through the boot-up process normally when it cycles through "power, receive, online, send". Mine did the same thing. But without more info, I don't know if the rest will apply to your modem. In the case of the DG860A, which was owned by me, Comcast technicians both online and in-person could not get it to authorize on the Comcast network. Even though Comcast replaced my DG860 with their DG860, it is believed that my model did not have the Comcast generated code needed for authorization, and for some reason would not accept it.
So in short, if this is a new modem installation of an older modem, it may be lacking a piece of code necessary for the network to authorize it.

I have an Arris wbm760. All of the lights are green except the US light ,d the Link light. They are orange. And the Link light is flashing. Obviously I can't get on the internet. How do I resolve my issue?

Arris Modem won't work with Airport Express

Not sure how helpful this will be, as I'm running a different piece of gear, plus it requires both troubleshooting + ISP assistance. I had a similar problem with my AirPort Extreme: AirPort Extreme saw the Arris, iBook saw the AirPort Extreme, but no internet connectivity.

In my case, I needed to set the AirPort to DHCP in the AirPort Utility application.
Power down the AirPort Extreme
Power down the Arris. You achieve this by unplugging the Arris *and* removing the back-up battery.
Wait a few moments.
Insert the battery into the Arris.
Plug in the Arris power supply.
Wait for the Arris to go through the restart protocol; when all the lights on the front panel are solid green, the start-up is complete.
Power up the AirPort Extreme; wait for the front panel light to go solid green.

As I was doing this, I had my ISP on the phone that confirmed complete connectivity of the signal path and ensured that I was online. While the Arris was powered down, my ISP also sent a "message" to the Arris; I don't know if this was a software update or what. I completed the AirPort set-uo through the Utility application, the AirPort restarted, and I was online.

Try to power cycle your modem and the router for 2 minutes and If your Arris modem has a battery back up on it you must remove it in order to refresh the settings on it.
Keep in mind that after the cycle period you must turn On first the modem and make sure all lights of it are completely stable before powering up the router.

cable dsl same thing. Did you switch providers and get new modem from them? If so. Just delete previous netowrk and install new one let pc discover new one. Also, with your router you got a disc. It should install correctly. Perhaps it is previous network that is hindering you.

try shutting of your computer then shutting off the modem, the modems have batteries you might have to remove them theres usally a panel on the bottom, in the back you should have a wire for comcast cable and an ethernet chord telephone too if you have everything. also your modem could be broken, i had the same problem

Have you checked the manual to see if it needs to charge? If so, maybe a day and it should go out.
Or search the model No for that info.

Sometimes the new battery is not 100% charged. Put it on a charger or jump start the car, the alternator should then charge up the battery.

SOURCE: how to decode signal coming to the arris modem

I'm not exactly sure what you are asking but these arris modems have a built in website where you can check statistics, etc. What you would do is open up your web browser and punch in I believe 192.168.1.1 into your address bar.
