Sis has old washer that won't fill past smallest water level. It cycles fine, but need to see diagram, where is the pressure hose so I can check it, or if there's a water level/pressure switch.

Sounds like the load size switch on the control panel is not contacting any position except the small load. Replace the switch.

SOURCE: Water filling does not stop

Water supply to the dishwasher is done through an electromagnet valve, loocated at the water pipe's enterance to the machine. A defect in the valve may mean that it's no longer able to shut off completely when the electricity has been turned off to it, and the valve may leak and drip water into the tub.You can easyly open the valve and clean it (from scale or other dirt). Be aware you should disconnect the power cable from the machine before doing it !!!!! and as well to close water main tap to the machine. In case cleaning doesn't help, you should replace the valve. Good luck !!

SOURCE: Washer fills with water , then shuts off , doesn't move to another cycle

Since you know about the lid and check switches, they are located under the splash (control)panel. unplug the machine and remove the screws holding the panel on. Using a meter check the switches for continuity and replace if they've gone bad.

Whirlpool Cabrio washer LF error code during wash cycle - fills but stops mid-cycle without draining.

LF indicates a Long Fill; the washer didn't start the agitation part of the wash cycle. It either took too long to reach the needed water level or the water level pressure switch didn't send the signal to the control. Sometimes, the control board can't receive the signal. Since you are getting water into the washer, check how fast the water is coming in. The system is expecting to fill in about 8 minutes. Since the water level is determined by a difference between air and water using a hose to the pressure switch, check that the pressure switch hose isn't pinched or damages. Also make sure that there isn't a clog in the hose. You may need to replace the pressure switch assembly. Check the wires to the pressure switch and at the control board for damage or corrosion on the connections. If the wiring is good, the control board may need to be replaced if replacing the water level pressure switch doesn't solve the problem.

I hope this helps. If you need a parts list, please add a comment with the model number of the washer. (It's usually on the frame of the washer under the lid and on the back of the machine.) Since the washer is 15 years old, you may need to consider replacing it, if the control board is faulty.

No fault code washer will not fill

Hi

If the washer won't fill you'll need to check for the water inlet hose, the water inlet valve and the pressure/water level switch assembly. Inspect the inlet hose coming to the washer for any blockages. If the hose is not clogged then check the water inlet valve for any clogs, if the water will not even fill for few seconds then certainly the water inlet valve is bad and should be replaced. You can also use a multimeter to check continuity on inlet valve. If you don't get any value on the multimeter then you'll need to replace the water inlet valve assembly. However, if the valve is fine then the pressure/water level switch assembly should be replaced. Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

Maytag washer - the water will not stop running

This is often, if not all the time, a faulty fill valve, the fill valve has mechanically stuck open and is not fully shutting off when not the washer is not in use. This normally will become worse and could flood over the top of the washer = big mess .... replace the fill valve. The fill valve is the part the hot and cold water hoses are attached to. the another possible fault can be ------------ The water level control is also know as a pressure switch, this is where you set the water level ( small - medium - large ). The water level control is responsible to shut off the power to the fill valve and direct that power to the timer so the washing machine can start up. The WLC has electrical contacts in it that sends power to the fill valve and when the WLC is satisfied the water level is correct the electrical contacts open power to the fill valve and send the power to the timer and the washer starts. Picture of this here. How the water level control knows when it is time to shut the water off is, a air tight hose runs from the outer washer tank to the water level control. As the water fills the outer tank air is pushed up the hose, depending on which setting you have made ( small- medium - large ) is takes a certain amount of this pressure to make the WLC cycle over and shut off the water and send this power to the timer. If this hose develops a leak or a pin hole the washer can over fill as the WLC may not be able to shut the water off. The water level control can also break down and allow the washer to over fill as well.

Kenmore washer overflows during rinse cycle.

SOME OF THESE MACHINES HAVE TWO PRESSURE SWITCHES IN THEM, ONE FOR THE MAIN WASH WATER LEVEL AND ONE FOR THE RINSE WATER LEVEL. CHECK FOR A PLUGGED AIR PRESSURE HOSE FIRST AND THEN CHECK THE PRESSURE SWITCHES.

When washer is in super wash cycle water will not stop causingthe tub to over fill running onto the floor.

It sounds like you are trying to use the largest water level setting. If this is correct you may have a pressure switch problem.

First turn the timer to spin and get all of the water out, that start a washer cycle with the water level set to the small or low setting and see if the washer fills to this level. if it stops at the low level great Now if it continues to fill and does stop you may need a pressure switch or the hose needs to be replaced that runs from the tub to the pressure switch.

Now set at the medium level and try again. does it stop or over fill?

If it over fills you probably need a pressure switch however before you purchase this, make sure the hose is in good condition one pin hole will cause your overfill condition.
