If it wont start, there are only 2 problems to start with. Does it have power, or is it getting fuel.
For the power, check the battery and connections as stated already. If it has power, and you turn the key, does it try to start, click repeatedly, or click once? Click once: usually means the starter is going out, you may be able to tap it while someone else turns the key to ge it to work temporarily. Click repeatedly: battery is low or bad connection to the battery. Jump start and clean the cables at the battery end. Cranks but wont start: unless you have hadbthebspark plugs out or the wires off, it's time to look at the fuel issue.
For the no fuel issue, you can have someone bang on the bottom of the tank with a RUBBER mallet or something similar that will not damage or puncture the tank. Usually the best place is the middle or lowest part of the tank. If this works to get you started, the fuel pump is going out and you will have further issues with it. It is also possible to have buildup on the screen around the fuel pump which would require replacing the pump anyways. Also, I recommend that when you replace the fuel pump to do the fuel filter at the same time.
Check battery and connections
