SOURCE: My Garmin gets stuck on the garmin screen saying

A Garmin Nuvi 1300 that freezes on 'loading maps,' or is acting erratically is symptomatic of having corrupt firmware.

To correct this, I recommend backing up your favorites, clearing all user data, and if it still is stuck, then updating your Nuvi firmware.

Follow these three steps to take to get your Garmin Nuvi 1300 running like new:

  1. Back up your Favorites.
  2. Perform a Hard Reset.
  3. Download and then run Garmin WebUpdater to replace its firmware / system software.

I hope that helps.

SOURCE: I have a Microteck C593 flat screen and has been

Hello there! We can definitely fix this issue. It would be helpful to know what version of windows you are running, but it is not required. What you want to do is shut down the computer, get it to the point where it is all the way OFF. Go ahead and turn on the computer, and as it starts coming up, before you see the "Starting Windows" or similar screen, you need to PRESS F8 on the keyboard. To make sure you do it in time, as soon as you turn on the computer start pressing F8 on the keyboard, about once a second until it takes you to a BOOT OPTIONS screen where you have options like:

NORMAL MODE
LAST KNOWN GOOD CONFIGURATION
SAFE MODE

and others, not necessarily in that order, but something similar, you will definitely know when you get there. At this screen you need to use the keyboard arrow keys to move down to SAFE MODE and press ENTER on the keyboard. This will boot you up in safe mode. From this point, you need to RIGHT CLICK on My Computer (either on the desktop, or under the START button menu) and go to PROPERTIES. From there you should have a HARDWARE TAB, the second tab at the top usually. From there you should have a DEVICE MANAGER button. Click on that, it will pull up a list of hardware in your machine. We want to look for Display Adapters, and click the + sign next to it (on the left of Display Adapters) and it should drop down at least one option there. Click on whatever it is that dropped down, directly below and "attached" to display adapters. It will highlight the option. Now click REMOVE or DELETE, whatever button you have at the bottom. It will ask you to confirm that you want to remove the device. You do, so click YES. You should have only one option under display adapters, and now it should be gone. If you have more display adapters, remove them the same way, but DO NOT GO PAST DISPLAY ADAPTERS. We want to just remove any and all display adapters on the system. Now that it (or they) is gone, we can reboot the system. So click START, go to SHUTDOWN, and RESTART (I'm sure you're familiar with this) and let it restart normally. It will reboot into NORMAL MODE on it's own, so just let it boot up. Once in Windows it will detect your display adapter again and install it all by itself. When it's done it may ask you to reboot, go ahead and do that if it does. Now you can boot up the computer normally without problems! (This next part is only if it still looks strange to you when it boots up, if things are too large for example, otherwise IGNORE THIS NEXT PART IF YOU ARE SATISFIED) From there you can adjust the resolution (screen size basically) by right clicking anywhere on the desktop picture, as long as it's not on an icon, and go to PROPERTIES at the bottom. From there you can go to settings and change the resolution with the little slider bar and click ok. Now you should be good to go!

Please let me know if something doesn't make sense, or you can't find the things I talk about. If you do need to reply PLEASE include what version of Windows you are using (such as XP, Vista, or 7).

Thanks so much!
Tim

Disable Driver Signature Enforcement On the Startup Settings screen, tap the F7 or 7 key on your keyboard to select the "Disable driver signature enforcement" option.

Windows 8 will immediately boot to its typical lock screen. Sign into Windows 8 as you normally would - everything will look the same, except Windows will no longer demand driver signatures until you next reboot.
You can now install unsigned drivers as you would on previous versions of Windows. Windows will alert you if you try to install a driver that isn't properly signed, but you'll see an "install this driver software anyway" option you can choose.
install-unsigned-driver-anyway-on-windows-8.png
Reboot When you're done installing the unsigned drivers, reboot your computer. Windows will keep using any unsigned drivers you've already loaded, even as it enforces signature requirements for new drivers.

My laptop screen is blue with horizantal lines. After I installed a graphics card driver everything went fine, but the next day the laptop's display started acting weird. So I turned off the laptop and...

The OS-loading screen is a stong indicator that thee is nothing wrog with your hardware, but it is a driver issue. You need to press F8 as your computer starts up and enter SAFE-MODE.
Windows 7
Using the F8 Method:
  1. Restart your computer.
  2. When the computer starts you will see your computer's hardware being listed. When you see this information start to gently tap the F8 key on your keyboard repeatedly until you are presented with the Windows 7 Advanced Boot Options screen as shown in the image below.

Figure 11. Windows 7 Advanced Boot Options screen
  3. Using the arrow keys, select the Safe Mode option you want.
  4. Then press the enter key on your keyboard to boot into Windows 7 Safe Mode.
  5. When Windows starts you will be at a typical logon screen. Logon to your computer and Windows 7 will enter Safe mode.
  6. Do whatever tasks you require, and when you are done, reboot to go back into normal mode.
In safe-mode remove & delete the drivers you installed. If you can, revert to your old driver set.

My laptop that has window xp just keep on rebooting and it just stuck on safe mode and dosnt want to go anywhere but reboot every time

It sounds like you have automatically reboot on error turned on which is Windows defualt. (dumb idea Microsoft). When you get the black and white screen that gives you several options to start your computer, one will be to turn off automatic restart.

Your computer will boot and you will get an blue error screen. That error will help you determine what is broken.

An alternative is to try last known good configuration, but I've never had much luck with that option.

How do we turn off the POWER SAVING MODE on the monitor screen?

Try going into your Start Menu then going into your control panel...then clicking on your "power options"....then switching the options to 'always on'..if this does not work..(as it seems you may not be seeing this because the monitor is in power saving mode) try fiddling with the setup option on your monitor and find a possible powersaving mode enabled function and disable it. every monitor is different so I couldn't really help you here...if this doesn't yield results try another monitor to see if it's the monitor having the problems or the computers video card...the video card could very well be the culprit...
