Hi,

This model number (AD 583) is now discontinued (see this link) and the manual is not available for download.

You will have to contact the manufacturer's customer support department on 1877-777-4357 (Monday through Friday
8AM to 8PM Eastern Standard Time) to get a copy of the manual.

Perform a reset as per the manual and download the firmware utility. Install the firmware utility, connect your player to your computer and re-flash the player with the firmware.

I lost my installation disk as well but I found, thru the manual, that the Ativa player plays videos in SMV format. so try to find a converter for that online.

I am needing to reinstall my external Ativa drive, but cannot find the installation cd anywhere!!! HELP!
