SOURCE: GE dryer starts but..... stops

What you describe is either a failed evenheat board or a failed motor relay.
Please post the complete model number from the machine and I can help you narrow it down. There should be a wiring diagram inside the console with voltage checks also.
Thanks/Mike

SOURCE: dryer heats up but won't turn

Depending on the make of dryer, there are several possibile reasons for this.
First and foremost, could be a faulty motor- faulty start capacitor, Faulty start relay.
Without more information I cannot be more specific.
Hope this helps.
Please leave feedback.
Thanks.

SOURCE: Dryer shuts off after releasing "push to start"

this problem sounds like it can only be 1 of 2 problems. the start button or the motor is not going into run winding. i found over the years that the blue wire i believe is burnt at the motor. this can be repaired quite easily .cut the wire and strip it putting a new connector on. if you need to you can buy an assortment at a hardware store. if every thing is good check the start button for burnt wire if ok then you most likely have a bad motor. i'm pretty sure though that a wire is burnt off at the motor

E68 on frigidaire dryer

Good Morning Randy, this is Z. Thank you for your post!

Typically error code E68 on your Frigidaire dryer can indicate one or two issues. First problem could be that one of the keys (buttons) is stuck closed (active). Enter "Function Test Mode" and perform Key Test to determine which button is at fault. To perform the "Function Test Mode": Press and hold the START and CANCEL button at the same time for 10 seconds. The stuck key should blink. Carefully free the key and perform the test again. If button is free but the error code still exists, the electronic control will possibly need replacing. Second issue could possibly be a current leakage to ground on heater or fuse opened. However, I would strongly suggest contacting a professional to the check the resistance of the heating element (should be approximately 14ohms) or the resistance between the ground and both heater terminals. It should be open when heater terminals are disconnected. If the readings are incorrect, then you may have a faulty heating element. Best regards!

I have a Frigidaire Gallery W/D set. The model number for the washer is GLWS1339CS1. I need to dryer model # and the sticker is missing. Help?

Hi Joshua, I am happy to assist you!

I understand you are seeking the model number of your Frigidaire dryer because you are in need of the replacement part number of the heating element. Each appliance has its own model number listed in the serial tag on the unit itself. If the serial tag is missing or no longer visible on the upper front as you open the door of your dryer, at this point I would recommend reaching out to the manufacturer to verify if they have any documentation or your product registration. Best regards - Z

Hi Robert Burch - From what you have described the unit could possibly have a communication problem with the control panel. However, if the unit is not producing any heat please have a professional diagnose the heating element and the blower assembly as well. Either, or, could be faulty at this time. This is not a typical DIY job so please consult a professional.

My dryer starts to warm up, when I set the drying time dial, even "before" I push the start button. What causes this?

Most likely it is a shorted heating element. Part number is 131553900. It can also be caused by a bad motor switch but the shorted element is much more likely.

IT WILL NOT HEAT. how do i remove the heating element to replace

Is it gas or electric? It could have a bad timer, heating element, power problem, circuit breaker could have tripped, or blown fuse or burnt wires inside dryer. I believe the top pops off from inserting a screw driver between the top and front dryer frame and pushing in 2 clamps located near each side. Then the front unscrews from the inside. Or a bottom panel might come off same way underneath the door.
