Have you called customer support? They should help you with such issues. If they can't then just return to the shop where you purchased your coffee maker. Although, my personal recommendation is to try to make decent coffee instead of capsules. Take a look at Virtuoso Plus grinder and other needed appliances. Once you try such coffee you won't drink capsules again.

Even if you figure it out, the coffee won't be really good. These capsule coffee makers aren't really a good choice...

You are not the first person to encounter such a problem. I recommend to read specialized articles with tips from the masters of service centers. Here you will find a way to repair your coffee machine yourself.

SOURCE: nespresso essenza problem

It's not supposed to make holes in the capsule until the water comes through. So, basically, when you put the capsule in, it pierces the capsule in three spots, on the top. The aluminum part will not pierce until you press the button and water comes through. If water is not coming through, then you can clear the air bubble by opening the lever on top of the machine, pressing the coffee button, and then closing the lever once the water begins to come through.

SOURCE: Nespresso machine does not punch hole on the capsules after close

This problem is most likely being caused by air being trapped in the system. To fix this, please follow the following steps: -

- Turn on the Machine, ensuring there is water in the tank
- Wait until the light stops flashing and the machine is ready for use
- Lift the silver lever on top of the machine into the upright position
- Press the coffee button on your machine
- Push the silver lever back, away from you, and hold it in this position for 3 seconds
- Press the coffee button again to stop the water flow

This procedure releases the air blockage in the system and your machine should function normally again.

Delonghi problems

Try filling both water and the milk container with the correct decalcifying solution - just slit the 500 ml that results from the 1:1 mixture and - without the coffee capsule - press the cappucino button. Instead of cappucino you will get the decalcifying solution running through the entire system including the connector for the milk container (unlike the recommended decalcification method where you use the extra nozzle). Good luck - worked for my machine which only produced steam but no milkfoam...

My Nespresso Xn250140 U doesn't work. Why?

Check the hole where you put the capsule, are there any faults or obstructions visible? If not be very suspicious of your capsules, there are lots of brands of Nespresso coffeemakers and the capsules have slight variations between the different brands. The variations are almost invisible but enough to prevent the wrong capsules being used.

DeLonghi Nespresso U not puncturing capsule

Not a fan of nespresso, a lot of cheap plastic. I am guessing the pivot for the capsule puncture arm has worn out allowing some play in it, which is keeping it from closing all the way just a guess, but it is an issue I have fixed before.

The lever of the nespresso C101 will not open. The capsule seems to be stuck inside

Had the same problem. I think this happens when the pressure builds up inside. U cant try and open the lever when the machine is in the extraction phase. Just switch off the machine and wait. Mine opened about 3-4 hrs later. Had to exert some gentle pressure on the lever, though to lift it.
