loosen bar nuts, with gloved hand push up on bar, and turn adjuster screw clockwise. on stihls it's either beside bar facing forward or between bar nuts.
What is written on the Bar? If your Bar is a 22" then the chain will be packaged for that length Bar. Make sure you get the correct model chain for your saw.
