Lynn, there is something on a roller or drum of the printer. If you have some one who can open it up and look, you may find a piece of plastic or something similar sticking to one of the rollers.
Thank you...will try that and if all else fails, I will try a new cartridge. I recently moved and it has been jostled around quite a bit. The cartridge has been in the printer for a while, but hasn't been used much so hate to waste it.
Please check how Many milimeters are between each defect, 32 or 37.7 are the toner cartridge, 41 or 56.5 are the fuser.
Looking at your picture of the copies, you have an issue with your fuser unit, The rollers need to be replaced. New fuser units are readily available from the internet and are not that difficult to replace yourself. Get a copy of the service manual and you should have no problem fixing this yourself. Otherwise you will need to call in a Service Tech. to do the work for you. It may be more cost effective to replace the whole printer. Get a price quote firsthand before you do anything.

This is the problem of Toner drum which might get rough after printing pages more than 5000 and it age is over so this kind of problem occurs. In this case you can replace the toner or you can get it repair by just changing the drum assembly.

SOURCE: printing has smudge on edge
If it is right along the edge then the drum (well the cleaning blade of the drum) is faulty. In a unit like that I suspect it is all part of a toner cartridge. Try replacing that and I think you will be good.

Hello.
If the printer still have a warranty, then i will suggest you to claim the warranty at the vendor of your printer.
The vendor will fix this or replace it with a new one.
You should bring with you the OR and the warranty.
