If the charging port and plug have been replaced and the charger still does not work, there may be an issue with the charging circuit in the golf cart. Here are a few things you can check:
Charging fuse: Check the charging fuse to see if it's blown. If it is, replace it with a new one of the same amperage.
Charging relay: Check the charging relay to see if it's working properly. You can do this by using a multimeter to check the resistance across the relay contacts. If there is no resistance, the relay is bad and needs to be replaced.
Charging receptacle: Check the charging receptacle to make sure it's getting power. Use a voltmeter to check for voltage at the charging port.
Charging controller: The charging controller may be damaged if the charging port and plug were melted. Check the charging controller for signs of damage or overheating. If it's damaged, it will need to be replaced.
If none of these solutions work, it may be best to take the golf cart to a professional mechanic or dealer for further diagnosis and repair.
hi will the life spam of the battery is only for 2 years if that is more than 2 years your lucky to go further the life of your battery..maybe in the series of the battery on your cart there is 1 that weak already.
The first three digits of the serial number are the model identification the remaining digits the unit production number
On my buggy there is a lable behind the drivers seat (lift the seat)indicating the model and year of manufacture
Since 1981 Club Car Golf Carts have positioned their serial numbers just under the glove box on the passengers side of the vehicle. The first two numbers (not letters) indicate the last two digits of the year of manufacture.
On Club Car Golf Carts prior to 1981, you can find the serial number by raising the seat and locating the aluminum, I-beam frame section closest to the batteries on the driver's side of the car. If the serial number plate has been removed, you can confirm it is a 1975-1980 model if it has two brake pedals and one accelerator pedal.
Sidenote: The rechargeable battery is good for about 2 to 3 years. You can tell the age of your battery by looking at the date code on the back of the battery above the stop sign. The first number is the year, the next two numbers are the week of the year. 915 would be 2009 the 15th week. (Or if very old it could be 1999 the 15th week.) A good battery, when charged will go an 8-10 hour day.
Keep both of your charge trays, replacements for these are no longer available.
