They are usually there for plugging in an external storage device (such as a flash drive). Many will play back pictures (JPG’s), video, audio, etc. It depends on the model. Check the manual for your exact models specifications (Vizio’s product manuals are available on line. Just put your models number in quotes with the word “manual” and “pdf”)

I believe you can also use it to add an Amazon Fire stick. The owner's manual might shed some light on that question also. If you don't have one, it's easily obtainable on the Internet by just searching for your brand and model.

SOURCE: connection to TV by HDMI cable

The 625 is not a high definition receiver and therefore does not support hdmi. You can use RGB or S-video to provide a higher quality picture than the coax output. If you need more options let me know. Thanks for using Fix Ya.

SOURCE: I want to connect my

What "video-inputs" does your TV have:

* composite video (single cable for video, two cables for LEFT/RIGHT audio)
* component video (RED/GREEN/BLUE cables for video, plus RED/WHITE cables for stereo audio)
* DVI or VGA input
* HDMI input
* S-Video (similar to PS/2 keyboard/mouse, in size, and "round" shape)

What outputs does your computer's video-card have:

* composite (post-and-ring)
* S-Video
* DVI
* VGA
* HDMI

Just match them up.

SOURCE: I have this receiver hooked up to a Vizio LED tv

AV cables don't pass surround sound through, they are pretty much just left and right stereo. You need to turn pro logic on on the reciever to "pretend" to play surround. The better option of course would be to use a digital signal like another HDMI cable or digital optical audio from the cable box, if thats what your using.

I want to connect my Vizio vo320e to get WiFi

The Vizio VO230E does not have network capabilities built in. The TV has built around 2009 before many TVs included either wired or wireless networking. The manual has the specifications on page 61; the manual is available here: http://cdn.vizio.com/manuals/kb/legacy/vo320emanual.pdf .

To get a wireless connection, you need to connect some sort of streaming device with wireless networking to the TV. This can be a computer, a ChromeCast and your phone or tablet, a Roku device or another streaming box. Plug the HDMI cable (or device plug) or the device into one of the two HDMI ports on the TV. Connect the device to a power source, if one is needed. (For devices that use a USB power connection, do not connect the USB power cord to the service port of the TV. Connect it to a charger.)

Since your choice of devices range in price from the ~$15 Roku Express to several hundred dollars for computers, depending on the specifications, you will need to decide which features/platforms you want.

I hope this helps.

I have a 55 Vizio 3D smart tv. This picture color fade in and out to the point that I cannot watch tv. I this a problem with the main board?

Hello Patricia,
  • There is a loose soldering connection in the Main Board. That happens because the components on the are generating a lot of heat therefore melting solder connections.
  • Stop beating on the TV's back, that only makes the problem worse.
  • Take it to a shop.Or if you are a tech, try locating the loose connection(s) and solder it back.
  • Also check your Warranty Period, It may cost you 0$. Call Vizio if you still have Warranty on the TV.
Here is a link to Vzio Supoport.
Good Luck,

CONNECT I PHONE TO VIZIO TV USB PORT AND WATCH NETFLIX.

Vizio doesn't support phone connect - only USB drive (ie thumbdrive type) - With correct USB, TV will show USB as a 'Source' - and if selected will show the files on the USB, but can only open / view folders, images, and video types.

This model has no usb connection for streaming blockbuster movie. what can i do to get this program from blockbuster on this tv??thanks

Hi well I am sorry to tell you but unfortunately if there is NO USB or other connection in, then you simply cannot do this? Of course if the TV has a PC or Video IN connection you could simply connect it as a Monitor only display and stream them from a PC? This then will allow you to see whatever you want via the bigger screen.

Connecting a new vizio bluew ray player. No signal being received on tv when connecting into usb port

You should never connect a Blue Ray or DVD player to a TV through a USB port. Use a scart/composite/component/HDMI connection to connect the player to the TV.

HDMI would be the best connection possible, but most devices don't come with a HDMI cable. Go to any electronics store and pick up a HDMI cable for about 10 dollars/euros. Don't pay for overly expensive (I'm looking at you, Monster Cables) as they are a giant waste of money.

The Netflix app on my vizio svt422xvt (one of the Vizios with VIA internet & wifi built-in) won't connect to Netflix. It directs me to the Netflix website for help, but Netflix help tells me to...

I had the same problem with my Vizio XVT473SV. I couldn't find the Netflix Activation Code. When I clicked on the Netflix App, the TV would ask me if I wanted to connect to Netflix, then it would ask me if I was a Netflix member. After clicking yes to both, it would tell me it couldn't connect to the Netflix server, check with Netflix.com/tvhelp. After a couple hours of troubleshooting, the solution was......your first use of the Netflix App has to be via the Ethernet Port/Cable. This will give you a screen with the Activation Code, after you activate the code in your Netflix account, you can go back to using WiFi on your Vizio TV to connect to Netflix. Step by step instructions are...
1) Exit the Vizio Netflix App.
2) Physically connect an Ethernet cable to your broadband (just temporarily)
3) Check to make sure the Vizio is using the Ethernet port and not your WiFi (Apps Button - HDTV Settings - Network...may have to reboot the TV to get Ethernet port connection)
4) Start the Vizio Netflix App
5) Click OK to start the Netflix App
6) You should now see a different screen that gives you the Netflix Activation Code.
7) On your Computer, Login in to Netflix,
8) Click on "Your Account & Help" link on upper right corner
9) Scroll down to Watching Instantly on your TV or Computer section
10) Click on Activate a Netflix Ready Device
11) Enter the Activation Code shown on your Vizio TV and click Activate
12) Once your Netflix account (on your computer) shows it is active, your Vizio TV will automatically log in. You should see your Instant Queue.
13) Exit the Netflix App, unplug the Ethernet cable, Turn Off your Vizio TV.
14) After 20 seconds or so (remember the TV is software driven), turn the TV back on and your WiFi should connect again.
15) Use your Netflix App and this time it should automatically connect via WiFi
note: just make sure that your wireless DSL/Cable Modem or Wireless Router is not blocking your WiFi connection request from the Vizio. You can check the connection status in the modem/router or in the Vizio in the HDTV Settings - Network.
