How is the Safety Valve on the L W pressure cooker assembled? Mine fell out.

The metal pin & silicone "O" ring just fell out of the lid of my Living Well 8qt pressure cooker. It will go back in several ways, but I cannot find information on which is the CORRECT way.

SOURCE: Rival Rice cooker steamer model 4356

Lydia, there are notches on the side of the metal liner. Line 1 is for one scoop of rice filled with water to the line marked 1. The scooper that comes with it holds 2/3 cup of rice. There are smaller notches above and below each numbered notch. That's to make rice looser or stickier, depending on your preference.
Hope that helps.

Pin fell out of the power pressure cooker xl....steam coming out of handle...how do I put it back in?

Hi,
There are two parts to the 'float valve' pin which has fallen out.
The pin itself pushes back in from the underside of the pan lid,
BUT,
there should be a clear silicone grommet or washer, which slides over the pin from the outside. This is what holds the 'float valve' pin in place & stops it falling into the pan in use.
If you've lost the original grommet in the washing-up, there might be a spare which came in the original box with the pan.
If not, you can order the replacements from the manufacturer or on eBay.

Best of luck.

Why wont my pressure cooker retain any pressure

bad lid seal --lid not put on properly--safety valve not on lid

I can't take the lid off the pressure cooker, it's as though the locking mechanism doesn't has not disengaged

pressure use a 1/4 turn of the top against the bottom to undo the locks after the pressure in the pot has been released by removing the safety valve
any pressure at all in the pot effectively stops the lid from turning

Se e4 on my cooker what do i do

The problem is a Signal Switch Malfunction. It has to do with the power switch and the pressure switch from what I have been able to find out. Mine doesn't have a pressure problem it just goes to E4 once you set the time. I gave the switch a good smack and it has been working for a while. This is the second time and this worked both times now. I am sure the switch will have to be replaced at some time. From what I have seen this is a very common problem. There is one way to fix this problem, albeit not the best. I was able to bypass the E4 error by completely bypassing the electronics and wiring the heater coil to get power whenever the pressure cooker is plugged in. It was a very simple job, anyone with any electrical experience can do this. The only problem is that it is a safety concern as there is no way for the heater to turn off even if pressure is getting to be way too high. There may be a pressure relief valve in the lid but the heater coil won't shut off, so don't leave it unattended! But at least this way to you can still pressure cook. Displays E2 and E4 (5 qt Wolfgang Puck pressure cooker - silver) what section is problem mechanical or electronic?

I think E2 means open circuit in thermocouple in center of bottom. E4 means no contact on pressure sensing switch at edge of bottom. Mine had E4 error. Took out switch and used fine sandpaper to clean contact points. Now it works fine.
Remove 3 screws in bottom. Remove bottom cover by turning it ~1/4" to clear tabs. Remove switch at edge of bottom with two blue wires going to it. Clean contacts and replace.

Displays e4 wont work

Removed the 3 screws on the bottom. There is a relay near the circuit board. Kind of looks like an old morse code relay. Just tapped out "E 4" in morse code. Plugged it in and it works fine.
