There are none so don't waste your money. There is no known cure for tinnitus and you have to learn to live with it. As some one who has suffered for over 40 years, I can assure you that with practice you can tune it out. There are white noise generators that can mask it so you might like to try one of those. I have got so practiced at tuning it out that the only way I hear it today is in a very quiet room or to deliberately think about it. It will affect a hearing tests as you wont have the ability to hear the tones at the frequency where the tinnitus operates, but that is about the only affect it will have on you. Accept you have go it and learn to live with it.

Are there any cures for tinnitus

Tinnitus isn't a condition itself - it's a symptom of an underlying condition, such as age-related hearing loss, ear injury or a circulatory system disorder. See a doctor to find the cause.

What do you think od Timothy Seaton's program called Tinnitus Terminator

Hi June:
Here's a link to a forum discussing this program.
https://www.tinnitustalk.com/threads/scam-tinnitus-terminator.10009/page-2
It would appear that it is just another SCAM, perpetrated by someone with zero moral scruples about conning people out of their money.
Your family doctor should be able to refer you to an ENT specialist who can determine if anything can be done.
All the best.
I also have tinnitus.
While accessing the "forum", a pop-up appeared advertising free sample tapes to help treat tinnitus. Is nothing sacred? We can't even discuss scams without the scammers trying to do us.

Tinnitus is a physical condition that is felt as ringing or noises in the ears even though those sounds are not present all around. It can be a very distressing condition for sufferers.

Tinnites

Try this site:
http://www.curefortinnitus.com/

Many sufferers make use of self-help treatments such as:
  • Maskingthe tinnitus with competing sounds, such as low music (using personalheadphones) clocks, or other noises such as ‘white noise’ generators. This makes it easier to ignore the tinnitus, help concentration andsleep.
  • Useof hearing aids for hearing loss - being able to hear sounds you cannotnormally hear may help override the tinnitus noise
  • Cognitive behaviour therapy can help people to change their response and lower their awareness of tinnitus.
  • Deliberately trying to concentrate on something else and to ignore the tinnitus
  • Stress management - stress and fatigue can make the condition worse.
  • Avoidance of alcohol, nicotine, caffeine, and certain foods that are known to aggravate tinnitus.
  • Use of earplugs, earmuffs and avoiding loud noise to limit further damage to the ears.
We are actually not supposed to provide medical/legal advice on this site, but I just thought this may help you. Hope it does :)
