Today, washing my first load went fine. Then I thought I heard a sharp pop sound while the second load was in progress - the sound may have come from the washer. During the rinse cycle, the machine wouldn't drain and eventually gave me the musical series of beeps. I unplugged the machine and retried a few times, with the same result. I tried advancing to the spin cycle, same error. The machine was cycling water during all these attempts because the water had not drained from the machine. I also tried to go into diagnostic mode to get an error code, but it kept flashing the same lights as when I started diagnostic mode and never gave me a result. Thanks in advance for your help!
Pump is most likely bad if it’s unibstructed but very hot. I’d replace it.
The pump seems to spin freely. I want to make sure it's the pump and not the drain valve. I don't want to buy a $250 pump if it's not the problem. Could the pump heat up if it's running dry?
If drain pump and lines are unobstructed, pump is likely bad. Should be warm from running but not very hot.
Only way to be sure is to call someone in that can physically test pump.

SOURCE: Rinse water fills the washing machine when the spin cycle starts
Check your outlet filter, most likely it is blocked, preventing the water from draining out. Chk your pump too. Before this disconnect from the wall socket; and also check the pipe coming from the tub to the filter. Siphon out the excess water from inside the machine before you open the pipes.

It looks like it has to be the control module.
You need to replace it .
It will cost you around $200 .

Look at my issue on "eco smart won't drain, smells hot". You could have same issue and your motor just hasn't burned up yet.
