Oil level and Water are perfect . Basically new generator only used during typhoons. Thinking its electrical eng contrl ???
Check the sump oil level
test the low oil warning system
Testimonial: "Oil sump dipstick is on the full mark. Oil pressure sensor shows 14.6v norm at the wire and drops to 5.6v when constant cranking."

a clue here
disregard the dip stick and fill until the oil level is at the edge of the dipstick hole that adds just enough extra oil to the level to keep the level sensor from cutting in when running
The extra amount is probably around 100 ml but it stops the problem

I had the same problem. My problem was the oil sensor. Unplug the oil sensor wite and see if it starts. If it does the order a new one, they are about 12 bucks

I'd say your battery in the generator is going bad or bad. They are very small and do not hold a charge for very long. The noise you heard was probably the starter shaft hitting the flywheel cogs. I doubt any harm was done as long as you did not repeatedly try to start it with the key. Why Honda put a battery in these is because they are intended for use in a campground setting, where they would be used on a daily basis and the battery would constantly charged. Whereas people like us buy them for emergencies only, they sit for long periods, and the battery goes flat, and the fuel clogs the carb and we get the surging issue. That's my 2 cents. When I brought mine home new, I Sta-bil'd the heck out of the gasoline, this past winter, on start-up, the unit surges. Of course the battery was flat.

You need to trace out the power wires the come out of the genset. They will end up on a breaker. With a volt meter measure both sides of the breaker. If one side has voltage and the other side doesn't, then your breaker is opened. Press the breaker in closed to see if it actually closes. If it don't then you will need a breaker. However, if no voltage is being produced, it is possible that the voltage regulator let go.

First locate the oil pressure switch and see if you can bypass it,then see if it runs. If not check the fuel filter and fuel pump, make sure solonoid for fuel pump is kicking on.
