Delta kitchen touch faucet not getting hot enough anymore

well since u didn't mention the exact model u have or include a photo so I can positively ident it, id say u need to look around base of faucet for lever , this is the mixing valve control , it controls how much cold water mixes with hot water to prevent a scalding occurrence in use , this lever may have gotten moved and a new position will need to be explored to find a comfortable temp u like it at again

Hi my vulcan gas hot water service isn't getting hot enough anymore? please help me?

check first if you have good water flow to and from heater. lift pressure release valve on inlet and allow few sec to flow, same with outlet hot water safety valve.

remove front cover from the heater, you should see your gas connection and thermostat knob.

check if gas is burning evenly and on whole surface, check for leaks on the heater and on the lines to and from the heater.

if you did not find any faults, no leaks, safety valves work correctly, check thermostats settings,

wind it down to minimal, then turn it to about 1/4 value (you did not specify model but this should do, widening arrow or numerical values ar self explanatory), lift hot water safety valve for few seconds, then open any hot water tap (faucet if you are an american...) and check if gas ignites and burns.

set thermostat to about 2/3 value and again, lift hot water safety valve for few seconds, then open any hot water tap. check if gas ignites and if water is sufficiently hot, if too hot - wind it down to say 1/2 way, if too cold, wind it till resistant and then back off a bit, DO NOT EVER LEAVE VALVE OR THERMOSTAT ON MAX!.

if none of these help - you need either, change the thermostat or heater itself.

if works - you solved the problem, close the tap, close the cover and use the system as you normally do.

i am always recommending use of insulation on the hot water system, it saves heaps of money over the life of the system.

hope this will help you - do not forget to vote... :-)

Rheem 50 gallon Electric Water Heater 81V52D C repair ideas needed

It could be element shorted to ground through steel tank, so don't touch tank when breaker is ON.
Or you have undersized 12 gauge wire and 20 amp breaker and the heat has loosened breaker on the busbar. Breaker trips when heat exceeds breaker limit. Jiggle breaker and listen for crackling sound.

To restore hot water now:
Turn off circuit breaker, and open top cover then Push in reset button on top of heater to restore functionality. Put back insulation and factory cover.
To fix water heater: test and replace bad element.

No hot water

Hello,
You will want to check the lighting assembly- when the pilot light does not work anymore it will not heat the water.
Your solution- You can change a part called a "thermocouple" most hardware stores sell universal ones which will work great (get one that is 18" or longer)- roughly $25 and maybe 30 minutes of time for a beginner to install. This would be a cheap fix and just may do the trick.
Let me know if this works, James

When we turn the hot water on, the water is warm but does not heat up anymore than that. We are not getting any "Hot" water, but if it was the pilot not lighting the water would be cold and its not.

there should be a dial of some kind on the front of the water heater that controls the water temperature turning it up a notch or two beyond its current setting should make the water temp hotter

Hello, we have a demand water heater that we use at work since it is tankless it is different any the regular repair guys are not sure what is wrong with it . i was told it is a poloma gas model and the...

In most of the tankless water heaters the tempature of the warter is controled by the rate(amount) of vlow of the water passing through the unit. Turn down the flow of water going into the water heater and the water that is still passing through will be hotter. Carefully. A little at a time,so as not to be too hot.
