SOURCE: garage sensor problem

The colour on the sensors doesn't change.
One is orange constantly and the other is green when detecting a signal from the orange sensor.
If the green is flickering, they are not adjusted correctly.Move the green sensor until you get a good solid green. Holding the wall pad button down, just bypasses the sensors.

Try adjusting only the sensors so that they are solid.

In addition, check the little yellow light on the back of the machine and count the flashes.
The number of flashes will tell you what the error is in your manual.

To answer your question the opener is in vacation mode. Press and hold for 3 seconds the button on your wall control with the lock icon. The green light will stop flashing and you will be back in business.

Garage door will only shut if I hold down wall button, sensors are aligned, one is green, one is orange, this happened after a lightning storm

If when closing the door it reverses to the open position and the main light flashes 10 times it is a door sensor problem. Make sure the small light on each sensor is on and not flickering ever so slightly. (check closely) Tweak them a little even though they may seem to be okay. Check for 5vdc between terminals 2 and 3 on the rear of the motor unit. If there is no voltage or if it is greater than 6vdc the logic board is bad.

The does not completely close and one light is green and one yellow i see no disruption. then it opens up again what can i do?

Color of lights doesn't matter. If the main light flashes 10 times when the door reverses it is a door sensor problem. Make sure they are not flickering ever so slightly. Tweak them a little. On the rear of the motor unit there is a small LED. Check to see if it is flashing a code. It will flash a number of times, pause and then repeat. Near where that LED Is you will find the down force adjustment. Increase it about 1/4 turn and try. If the LED is flashing code 5 you most likely have a bad RPM sensor board which is a small printed circuit board just in front of the motor.

Ok so I am having a problem with craftsman garage door, The sensor light are right on green and one orange, but i still have to hold down the button in the garage to shut the door. Also today i thought...

If when you try to close the door the main light flashes 10 times and the door starts down and then reverses to the open position you have a door sensor problem. Make sure the lights in the sensors are not flickering ever so slightly. The color of the lights doesn't mean anything. The keypad sounds like a separate problem. Make sure the battery is good.

After installing garage door it worked for a while. Now it still opens with one touch on the keypad, but to close I have to keep keypad button pressed till door closes completely.

Check your door sensors. Make sure they are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not flickering. Tweak them a bit. If you cannot get both lights to come on you have a bad sensor.

The small green LED light on garage door motor head out

That little green bulb just flickers when the logic board is receiving a radio signal and is also used to send a code to assist with diagnosis. It does not keep the opener from working. You say the door is 'stuck'. If it is stuck in the open position the trolley may be jammed against the bolt just in front of the motor unit. If so, loosen the chain to relieve the pressure and the opener should run. When the door is closed locate the 'up limit' on the side of the motor unit and turn this 2 complete turns in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. Then tighten the chain.

You have a door sensor problem. Make sure the small light on each sensor is not flickering ever so slightly. Sometimes very hard to see. Tweak them just a bit. The color of the sensors is normal.
