Hello, Mike -

Apparently not. According to the website Nameberry.com . . .

The given boy's name Grant means "large" and is of Scottish origin from the French language word "grand."
https://nameberry.com/babyname/Grant
Grant is also a surname which then can be used as a given name.

The given boy's name Geraint (pronounced jair-RYNT) is of Welsh Celtic origin, with no known meaning.
https://nameberry.com/babyname/Geraint

Best wishes.

When i go into windows updates i get a error saying error found code 80070005 what do i do

The error code 80070005 usually means that you do not have enough permission to install updates.

First please confirm you have logged on an account with administrative privileges.

If the issue still occurs, lets' try the following method to reset the permissions:

1. Please download the subinacl.msi file from the following link and save the installation patch onto the Desktop:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e8ba3e56-d8fe-4a91-93cf-ed6985e3927b&displaylang=en#AffinityDownloads

2. Please go to the Desktop and double click the downloaded file.

3. Please select the C:\Windows\System32 folder as the Destination Folder during the installation. Later we will use this tool to reset the permission settings on the current machine.

Note: If the UAC (User Account Control) window is prompted for permission to continue, please click Continue.

4. Click Start, in the Start Search bar, type: "notepad" (without quotes) and press Enter.

5. Copy the following commands and then paste them into the open Notepad window:

@echo off

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=administrators=f

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=administrators=f

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /grant=administrators=f

subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=administrators=f

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE /grant=system=f

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CURRENT_USER /grant=system=f

subinacl /subkeyreg HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT /grant=system=f

subinacl /subdirectories %SystemDrive% /grant=system=f

@Echo =========================

@Echo Finished.

@Echo =========================

@pause

6. After pasting the above commands, please close the Notepad window. Choose Save when you are prompted to save the file. Type "reset.bat" as the file name and choose Desktop from the left panel as the save location.

7. Refer to the Desktop and right click the reset.bat file, and then choose "Run as administrator."

8. You will see a DOS-like window processing.

Note: It may take several minutes. Please be patient. When it is completed, you will be prompted with the message: "Finished, press any key to continue".

Try to install the updates again.

This issue can be also caused by third-party security programs such as firewalls and anti-virus software. You can disable or remove them to check the issue.

I'm connected with my wifi but i don't have acces to any site

check these things.. 1. check if the wifi you are connected is secured, hence you will not have an internet access and can't connect to any site, you need to ask permission to the administrator of that wifi and grant you access to it from then you can connect. 2. check if you configured your browser profile to your wifi where u are connected, you need to select the name of the wifi where you are connected as default browser profile and open your browser and type the url there. 3. check your web address..

NO PERMISSION TO EDIT OR VIEW As an administrator, I thought I have all the privileges to edit, view read, modify, execute and write any folder, but on certain folders I must first grant myself the...

you need to Take ownership of those files...
For Files:

takeown /f file_name /d y
icacls file_name /grant administrators:F
For Folders or Directories (will perform action recursively):
takeown /f directory_name /r /d y
icacls directory_name /grant administrators:F /t
Replace file_name or directory_name with actual file name or folder name, with path when applicable. The first command will take ownership of the file or folder specified, and the second command will grant full control permissions to administrators user group. Note that when using command for folders, to command will run recursively. To prevent the task been perform recursively, remove the “/r” and “/t” switch.
Above two commands have been scripted in Windows command shell batch script that easily perform the task of taking ownership and grant full control permissions to Administrators user group by typing simple command. Alternatively, users can add “Take Control Of” option to right click menu so that the next time you need to take control of a file with full control permissions, it’s just a one click task.

I get the message Value cannot be null parameter name: path 1

  1. In Windows Explorer, locate the application folder or the virtual directory that contains the content (for example, D:\MyWebApplications\Users\Main\App1).
  2. Right-click the root folder (MyWebApplications in this case), and then click Properties.
  3. On the Security tab, click Add.
  4. Type ComputerName\ASPNET (for example, on a computer that is named Webdev, type Webdev\ASPNET), and then click OK. Add the impersonated accounts if impersonation is turned on.
  5. Grant the following permissions for the ASPNET account (and for the impersonated accounts if impersonation is turned on):
    • Read & Execute
    • List Folder Contents
    • Read

  6. Click OK to close the Properties dialog box and to save the changes.
If you have to grant more restrictive permissions to these folders, follow these steps after you complete step 4:
  1. Click Advanced to access special permissions or advanced settings.
  2. Click the Permissions tab, and then select the permission entry for the ASPNET (or other impersonated account).
  3. Click View/Edit.
  4. Make sure that you grant only the List Folder/Read Data permission.
