I can't speak for the governor, but I can't IMAGINE that any crankcase roller bearings would be sealed - they need all the lubrication they can get.

Lost ignition spark 1975 Yamaha Enduro 80 motorcycle

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Fouled spark plugs.
2. Severely discharged or a damaged battery, should have 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
3. Check battery terminals for damage or corrosion, check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
4. Loose connection at ignition coil or plug between ignition sensor and CDI box.
5. Spark plug cables in bad condition, shorting / leaking, spark plug cable connections loose, check for spark leakage in the dark.
6. Faulty ignition coil, pick up coil, trigger coil or CDI box testing needs to be checked with an ohmmeter at 70 degrees Fahrenheit
7. Faulty safety switches clutch, kickstand, neutral, off/on etc.
8. Faulty ignition switch.

Hi! My Yamaha FJ 1100 just sudenly had no spark on the left cylinders and then all off a sudden the left side sparked but the right side was dead, now the bike has no spark and the dashboard lights is...

If you have a manual look up ignition coil solenoids. My FJ1100 had the same problem. Take off the small cover on the Left side that has Yamaha engraved on it. After taking it off you will see a metal T that spins around. This metal T passes 2 solenoids. Looking straight at the ignition coil, the left solenoid sends spark to the left side (cylinders 1,3 I think), and the right solenoid sends spark to cylinders 2,4 I think. If you look closely at the metal T when turning the bike over you'll see it passes each of the solenoids pretty much coming in contact with them as it turns. Your problem is that the metal T isn't connecting with the solenoids. Either get new solenoids or whole ignition coil, shouldn't be more than 50 bucks. Then read your manual on how to set the ignition timing. Hope this helps
