Sounds like it is displaying the transmit and receive channels. check your manual on how to change transmit/receive channels or frequencies.

SOURCE: charging walkie talkies

This is more for "mshtexas" than the OP but I'm sure there may be others out there wondering the same thing. The power cord that comes with this unit has a 9.0v output at 200mA with the center pin being positive

SOURCE: One of my tlkr-t3 walkie talkie's will not recieve.

One of my tlkr-t3 walkie talkie's will not recieve.

They worked fine the first time we tried them out. Then they were put away for several weeks, and when they've been switched on, one now doesn't send. I checked this by the other putting in scan mode but it doesn't stop scanning at the channel it is assumed to send with. I tried all the channels for sending but neither one is detected. The other way around, so the first one in scanning mode, the 2nd in send mode, works fine (the scanning stops at the channel of the sending one, as expected).
So my conclusion is, that one doesn't send.
I interchanged the (fresh) batteries, but this doesn;t change.
So what could be the problem?

SOURCE: I have the cobra micro

they charge better if they are turned off. since they do not have a paid dedicated channel, signals can

still be received by any walkie talkie using the same channel, and can deplete the charging process

to the radio. good luck!

SOURCE: Motorola XTR 446 talkie walkie is not receiving

Try programming the radios without an eliminator code and see if they work together then. If so, there is something wrong with the eliminator code portion of the radio. Also, check your batteries, switch batteries between the units and see if the problem moves to the other unit. It takes more energy to transmit than receive, so a bad or very weak battery could exhibit a similar problem. The radio icon will illuminate whenever a radio is transmitting or receiving. When the radio is in standby mode, the icon should not be shown. Your radio with the icon on all the time may be stuck in transmit. Check your PTT button to see if it is slightly stuck or depressed. One of my Floureon XF-388 Walkie Talkies is not making sound. The volume is all the way up, and the batteries are fully charged. No sound is coming out.

Use the external talk/listen speaker/microphone. You get audio your internal speaker or connection is bad. Still no audio the audio power circuit is bad. Find a electronic tech & ask for a repair. Good luck.

I have k7gfv700 Motorola walkie talkies w/ charger. The charge seems to work, but the lighs one the charge are red and the talkie do not charge. Do I need new batteries and where can I purchase the

You might try http://wirelesspro.com, we have found them to carry most TalkAbout accessories and batteries. Before ordering battery packs, you might try switching your existing good battery to the other radio and see if it solves the problem. This would assure you that it is indeed a battery problem.

My Cobra MircroTalk walkie-talkies aren't charging. The charge light doesn't turn on and I've made sure u turned Tue units themselves off. The model number is: GA-CQ

If your problem started after replacing the batteries (mine did), see this: http://www.walkie-talkie-radio.co.uk/replacing-cobra-walkie-talkie-rechargeable-batteries.html If that is your problem, you can also fix it by wrapping foil around the bottom of the battery that makes that touches the bottom side charging contact.

The battery is fully charged on the walkie talkies and all are on the same channel, however out of 12 walkie talkies only 2 will work. When ever you push the push to talk button the walkie talkie shuts...

Your batteries are either no good, or not charged. When you press the PTT button it takes more energy than being in standby mode. If you have a battery problem it will fail quickly when the PTT is pressed.

Rechargeable batteries last approx. 18-24 months. Check your battery for a 3-digit date code. It is usually a 3 digit number followed by a couple of letters. The numbers tell the date of manufacture. The first number is the year, followed by the week of the year. 025 would be 2010 the 25th week. (or if very old it could be 2000 the 25th week.)

If you feel age is not a problem, you might check your charger(s) to see they are fully powered, and clear of debris on the contacts (and the radio contacts as well). Clean with a pencil eraser if needed.

A few tips: Be certain when placing your radios on the charge they are turned off. Check your wall outlet to be certain it doesn't get shut off with a light switch. Expect to replace your batteries every 2-3 years.

Best regards.

When i try To walkie-talkie it wont work

They do not have signal to receive the walkie talkie service. Try texting them and telling them to get in an area where they can get better service. Walkie Talkie coverage is very spotty.
