I had this same message last week. It is to do with the water intake (i.e. the water coming in to the back of the machine). If you have checked that the hose isn't trapped or kinked, unscrewed it and checked the filters at each end for blockages (rinse out if necessary), and you still get the F17 message, it may be because your water pressure is too low, in which case you need to contact your landlord (if you rent) or thames water if the problem is external (especially if there are any works going on near your house). The door locking mechanism has malfunctioned and/or is overheating. It is recommended that remove power from the appliance (unplug it) for 30 minutes and try again. If the problem persist, you will need to replace the door lock assembly.

Hold the Start/Reload button for 6/7 seconds till the symbol disappears.

Dont worry your machine is ok
the flashing key means your child lock is on, and has to be disengaged
What you need to do is press and hold the on/off button for approx 5 seconds This should turn the lock off.
