TRY pulling the stem all the way out and then press it VERY gently to see if if moves. Be sure the rest of the watch knows which half of the day you're setting it for, otherwise it will move ahead at noon instead of midnight.

assuming the battery isn't dead (IF IT IS DON'T TAKE THE BACK OFF, YOU
WILL LOSE THE SPRING THAT MAKES THE ALARM SOUND) the button on the
bottom right click it until the function selector is pointed to time,
then pull the button out, then the top two buttons i believe change the
hour hands. before setting the time you will need to zero this watch
out, or calibrate it or the date will not change in synch with the time
at midnight.
my battery is dead and i am a truck driver and am therefore having a
difficult time (no pun intended) finding a place i can get parked to
have my battery changed. please believe me when i tell you that you
will lose this spring, a jeweler lost mine once and it took months to
order a new one
