There may be a fuse but definitely not a circuit breaker due to cost.

SOURCE: Dishwasher tripping the circuit breaker

Andy, leave the breaker off and remove the toe panel (bottom panel) from the dishwasher. Remove the cover of the junction box where the cord connection or wiring is made. Look at the wire caps and see if they are not burnt. Sometimes these connections become loose and arch, tripping the breaker. If so, cut the wires, strip a new end and reconnect. Catriver...post back.

SOURCE: whirlpool electric dryer keeps tripping main circuit breaker

First off, be sure the pigtail is wired correctly to the back of the unit. Black and red to the outside terminals, white to the middle, green to the frame or cabinet (should be a green screw close-by). If that is ok, you probably have an issue with possibly a bad pigtail, bad outlet, wiring issue, or possibly a bad circuit breaker or breaker box. Probably going to be more of a electrical problem than a appliance problem. Good Luck!!!!

SOURCE: Photocell and circuit breaker

Hi, Here is my clarification of the instructions for you. The photocell must be protected by at least a 10 amp circuit breaker. The photocell may be installed next to the light fixture. ( not the breaker). Good Luck, this should Fixya!

Whirlpool aquasteam suddenly dead, no lights at all,as if plug pulled halfway through wash. Tested plug, socket fuses all fine.

Check the fuse (circuit breaker) at the main box. Most Washers are on a separate circuit and thus if the circuit breaker opens, there will be no power to the washer.

When you said turn off circuit breaker did you mean from electrical panel or is there something on dishwasher

The breaker this should be referring to is inside your home's panel box. Sometimes electronic devices will have an inline fuse to stop power surges from damaging expensive delicate boards with hard to find ICs, but this is a fuse that burns an electrical element and has to be replaced after it's been used, or in other words it's a one shot thing, versus a breaker which is a mechanical device that moves a set of contactors when it senses an over current situation and can be used repeatedly. Unfortunately you didn't ask this question with the string that your first question was linked with so I don't know the original problem, but I have never known of a washing machine that had an on board circuit breaker, and know that many do not include inline fuses either.

If you have additional questions please post (to this string so the can be easily found) and if you found my answer helpful please up vote it, and let us know your results.

Good luck!

Have a Whirlpool Cabrio washer WTW6400SW3 went thru wash wash cycle, then started to drain water to go into rinse cycle. Half way thru draining, was a loud electrical pop in control area of washer and...

sounds like a shorted machine due to water or moister? In most case you had a fuse blow on the machine somewhat like a thermal shut off fuse, most likely located in the panel. if this is the case u need to find out what shorted it, how water or moister got in? You can also look at the control curcuit board and look for burned seized transistors or areas indicating a burned out board.

No indicator lights Whirlpool wdt710paym dishwasher

If it doesn't run and you have no indicator lights, check the circuit breaker for that outlet. If it is ok, test the output voltage at the plug-in for the machine (115Vac). If it is "live" then check inside the control panel (turn off the breaker first) for a fuse that appears blown. If no fuse problem, CAREFULLY (with breaker back on) see if the main switch is getting power. If it is getting power, the control board is shot...replace it!

Is there a fuse box on the Whirlpool duet steam washer? I can not get the control panel to turn on. I've checked the circuit breaker.

If you have a control panel and it wont switch on, it normally means your board is faulty. Gain access to the board and look for the live(brown) wire and the blue(neutral) wire. Place a tester on the 2 wires and see if you have the required voltage. If so, your board is defective. Normally, there are no fuses in the front loaders.

Whirlpool microwave lost all power, circuit breaker is live

Sounds like your fuse has blown. Remove the unit if it is an undercounter unit. Unplug. Remove the case by taking all screws out. You should see the fuse in a holder on the top or on the side where the electronic boards and display are. Check the value and replace with a ceramic fuse OF THE SAME VALUE. The fuses are special fuses and are not glass fuses for a reason. They are ceramic (you can't see through them). You can get the fuses at www.mcmelectronics.com . Let me know if you need more help.

My Kenmore Elite (Whirlpool) HE3 elctric dryer is no

A dryer not heating usually means that either the heating element is burned/broken (open circuit); a thermal fuse in line with the heating element is blown or; a thermostat is faulty.

Dryer needs to be partially disassembled to diagnose with a multimeter.
