Jet Tech F-18 What order do the colored Wires get plugged into the cycle timer Light Blue is the wire I am confused about

Hi Todd,

See attached manual with wiring diagram,

there are a number of brown wires and they go from micro switch M1 and M2 and also micro relay CR2,

the light blue wires go from what i assume is a power rail or jumper at bottom of drawing marked all light blue, into the motor timer MT, into the pilot light LC, it should be clear to you which order as the common rail light blue return (neutral) should be clear from drawing and in wiring panel if you have any problems take a picture and upload it describing which wires you are referring to with arrows or circles to highlight wires and I will assist further

all the best tom

Open door on EJ500.
Below button is battery compartment.
Use small tool to open compartment.

Befor pulling out batteries, notice direction that batteries sit.
Look at markings on battery.
Replace with same battery.

I found out the intermatic did not work as usual, just change new battery, i try to program the schedule, but it did not work.

If you have a battery operated timer, it is probably the Intermatic ST01C or EJ500.

http://waterheatertimer.org/Programmable.html
The link above will help you identify your timer.

As a general rule, if a new battery does not revive the Intermatic timer, then timer needs to be replaced. Make sure you have electricity. And be sure to mark your wires before removing timer. Mark the black wire that connected to timer-black wire. It's the hot wire from breaker box.
You can replace with same model and brand so your wiring is EZ.

The ST01C and EJ500 are 7-day timers with up to 40 programs per week. They each connect with 2 wires. Black and Blue with red wire capped off. Just mark your wires before you disconnect old timer. And then reconnect new timer wires just as old timer was connected. The red wire is capped off.

The Aube T1032 is also a 7-day timer with 7 programs per week. This timer connects a bit differently. It connects with 3 wires. You put the black where old timer-black wire connected. And then you connect the red and blue together and connect them where the old timer-blue wire connected.

Other timers require wiring that is bit different, but the page link above shows the wiring ... and you can re-post another question any time >>> or respond to this answer.

My ST01C works fine for a few days and then resets itself. The clock flashes 12:00am every time it resets and their is no pattern to it resetting. Sometimes it works for 2 days; sometimes 4-5. I reprogram...

My guess, it's the battery... Manual has troubleshooting steps that point to battery.

1) Timer requires CR2 battery to work ... double check markings on your battery. Programs will not function without battery. Battery can be low without BATT warning on screen.

2) ST01C has 1 year limited warranty. Things wear out.

3) When reprogramming, do you Reset timer? Or just reprogram Time-Date. Last-ditch troubleshoot says to Reset and Re-program timer.

You've got some physical problem inside the printer.

See:

If your printer is networked, it can actually communicate with our support knowledge base directly, and troubleshoot itself.
