Glenn, Does it say 'overvoltage', or simply 'voltage'? For the clearest result brother, contact Mackie - 1-800-898-3211 is their tech line - they're super cool - I just always picture the guys at Mackie sitting around reading comic books and shooting guns into the air. good luck!

SOURCE: Computer->M-Audio-FastTrackPro USB->trs

Use TRS to TRS balanced cables from the M Audio to the line in 11 and 12.

Set the pan controls for the 11 and 12 to opposite directions to split the stereo to left and right main outputs. (otherwise both main outs mix the left and right and you get mono result.

My speaker sounds like it is blown

take it to a Sound Production company and ask their opinion. If they use Mackie gear-even better. They will better be able to tell you what's goin' on if they hear the speaker. Good luck.

ONLY GETTING MUFFLED SOUND FROM ONE OF MY MACKIE SRM V2 SPEAKERS,HAVE CHANGED DIAPHRAM BUT PROBLEM STILL THERE

If you've changed the tweeter and the sound is still muffled the fault is with the HF amp, or the cross-over. You will have to send the amp assembly for repair as it is all surface mount components in there -nothing you will be able to fix yourself. Sorry for the bad news!

Problem with Mackie SRM450V2: HFsignal bleeding through LF driver, low HF OUTPUT also. Filter problem i suspect.

There is an entire crossover circuit inside that is BEFORE the amp section. There are 2 separate amps: one for HF and one for LF. Can you describe the noise you are hearing in more detail? Is hte sound effected by the gain controls at all? What happens without any input?

Thanks,
Dan

Connection of two sound boards

Refer to your EV user manual, page 23, part 2.

You run the outputs of the Mackie into the stereo "returns" on the EV.

Use TRS interconnect cables as these are balanced lines.

What is the secondary voltage of power transformer

The schematics do not show the actual voltage.

From the design, the phantom power secpndary should be around 35 to 45 volts AC.

The 16 volt supplies would require a secondary winding that will be around 26 to 32 volts center tapped.

Transformers are quite reliable and unless a voltage is missing, the transformer is likely OK.

The most suspect items are the electrolytic filter caps if the voltage is not the design 16 plus and minus values.

I have an mackie cfx 12 on which the effects do not work. If you turn effects on you get a sizzling/popping sound. Can this be repaired

Yes, send this to a Makie repair facility. Chaances are there is a chip going bad... most likely the A-D or D-a convertor.

Try putting this is your freezer and then immediately test it. This MIGHT indicate if problem is easily found with circuit cooler spray.

No sound in left channel

If you are looking for the service information for a Mackie 1202VLZ, contact Mackie. I believe that you can purchase it directly. They have contact information on-line.
