Which model Viano TV do you have? Some models have two different input sections. Some inputs are on the bottom of the TV The RF (coax) port and a few other ports (some models) are on the right side (as you face the back of the TV). This applies to the LED24DHD, https://iviano.com/tvs/23-6-full-hd-led-tv-with-built-in-dvd-player, and the LTV32HD, https://iviano.com/tvs/32-hd-led-lcd-tv-69 . I only see one model, the LCD37HD, that had only one input area. Several Viano TV manuals are available here: https://iviano.com/user-manuals .

However, there was a period when several manufacturers sold monitors as TVs. These did not have an OTA tuner (and no RF input) built in. For these TVs, you need a separate tuner connected to the TV using one of the HDMI or other video inputs. This can be a set-top box (some models now offer DVR features), a computer with a tuner (USB tuner or internal tuner card), or even an X-box with a USB tuner. Note: you'll need plenty of air space around the device. USB tuners can have even more over-heating issues.

I hope this helps.

The aerial port does not work.

It is possible the tuner or antenna connection is bad---If you can call up the menu with the remote set needs to be switched from cable etc to air or antenna and channels programed------not on the rear input connection but for the tuner in the set (presume it has a tuner if antenna connection of any type is there.

I'm trying to hook up an indoor antenna to my polaroid flm-3232 do I need a digital converter box or does the tv have the necessary components?

You have an analog TV, meaning that the tuner in your TV is analog only. You must buy a digital converter to see broadcast Digital TV via your external antenna and it will be attached to the antenna input jack or other jack depending on how it comes out of the converter.

One bit of advice, there is no such thing as a "digital" antenna, they are all analog. Even a 50 year old, outside antenna aerial that you see out in the countryside will pick up the new Digital Broadcasts to be converted by a Digital Converter and displayed on a 50 year old TV.

Tv turns on & off.

If you have the set connected to an outside antenna, or directly to a cable service, this may be a grounding issue between the TV and the antenna ground.

This answer is a speculation based on some past experience.

If there is any buildup or intermittancy of a ground leakage from the AC supply back up through the tuner and on to the TV, and then to the antenna or cable service, it may trip some protection circuits that cause a shut down condition.

Pay tv cable

you may bypass the box by using a straight connector, find the cable that lead to the TV room and connect it to the cable from the aerial antenna.

No dishnetwork signal

OK here we go .the most common problem with dish network and directv is that any cable connections you have that are on the outside of the house are a HUGE weak point in the system.what you want to do is go outside and locate the dish once you have start following the cables until you find any of these cable connections or splices.once you have located them get a 7/16 wrench and remove the cable ..What your are looking for is corrosion in the cable connection.it will look like rust. What happens is your dish system sends 13 and 18 volts down the line to switch channels. When any water gets in these connections it will start to short the connection BUT,you will still get TV for a long while eventually this small short will start to damage the cable connection and you will lose signal all together.make sure to check all of these OUTSIDE connections.Once you find one that is bad you can go to radioshack and buy a cable prep tool that STRIPS the coax"COAX STRIPPERS" to its correct lengths.simply cut off the old connector and replace it.There is a GREAT tutorial at satellitescoop.com that shows you how to do this the right way for under 10 dollars make sure to follow the directions on that site and you should be watching TV in no time.
