Your board in the tv is overheating and no good

Have you activated the self check this set has that will indicate what error was picked up?

the problem its the main board it controls everything if no warranty go to www.shopjimmy.com better prices better than manufacturer and tv repair man

micro chip problem it is damage.have a tech look on your set for repairs.good luck.

You may want to change the lamp. It may be on the edge of failing totally.

I just had the same problem. If your lucky it might be a free 5 minute fix. The five light flashes mean impropper current. I took the front grill off, then behind that is another black cover, I took that off and noticed the circuit boards COVERED in dust. I then took an air can duster and blew off all the dust... works like new. No more flashes and in an out picture. The collection of dust was interfereing with the electrical current.

Rear projection hdtv, most likely damaged tubes. Don't repair this by your self get a tv repair man to do it before you injure your self.

same problem. TV turns on but no picture or sound. when i press power button on the remote control orange light flashes for about a minute and goes back to red.

I had the same exact problem.
I removed the bulb and cleaned it. There is a small screen at the top of the bulb and it was covered with dust. Once it was cleaned I replaced the bulb and it solved the problem.
